I read a lot of bad reviews while I sat at Katie’s and enjoyed lunch. If you want Dewey’s go there. This is not a generic pizza chain. This is obviously a place that uses fine ingredients and offers an atypical food experience. No, it is not cheap, but rarely is quality. The pre-meal bread alone was excellent. The pizza crust was crisp and not soggy, very hard to accomplish. The salad was unique and I liked it. No, it didn’t have a lot of lettuce, who cares? Meal was flavor full. As for service, I didn’t have a problem in the slightest, it was great actually. Maybe certain reviewer types just don’t play well with others regardless.

After finding parking, you will be transported to Italy while eating at Katie’s Pizza! The food choices are perfect for both the carnivores and vegetarians in your party! The style of this venue is what makes the eating experience so charming. A mix of shabby chic and Italian countryside keeps the dining experience fun. I personally love the pizza and fresh salad choices. The menu can be pricey but it’s worth the excellent customer experience and delicious meal.

I hate to rate this place so low considering I only came to this location once. However I went with a group and after talking to few of them everyone had the same opinion that this place wasn’t all that great or all the talk I kept hearing about. I do know that I hear great things about the one in Rock Hill. I personally didn’t care for the parking. I did try few of their appetizers and those were good and wished I had just ordered that for lunch. Instead I got the salmon pizza. And what a huge disappointment that was. I really don’t like the dough. I didn’t like the fact that it looks like the ingredients were just thrown on top and that was it. It had tons of the arugula just covering everything. And I mean it looked like they baked the dough then threw some pieces of salmon, a sprinkle of capers, and couple of handful of arugula and brought it out to the table. So I ate it like a dry salad. Extremely disappointing. They got the 3 star bc their appetizers were so good.

I’m pretty picky, and they have some crazy things on their menu. But, the whole place is pretty cool. Garage sale (kiche?) tables and chairs. Super friendly (and attractive) wait staff. The bread service is to die for and the pizzas are good. 🙂

Just awesome…the atmosphere, the food, the staff. I like the salmon pizza and the butternut squash salad but am still trying new things each visit. Getting to the bathroom is a bit adventurous…spice up that walk!

This is not your average, go-to American pizza. So if you have the old-school, don’t try new things palate, don’t try it. If you are adventuresome and love AWESOME, unique and fresh food, Katie’s is a MUST. Every time we drive by and see the patio packed at ANY night of the week, my husband and I remind ourselves that we want to try Katies. We finally did last night. AMAZ-ING!! We ordered the salad with arugula, shrimp, oranges and pistachios. My husband, who I have recently taught to eat salad, ate more of it than I do, and took the leftovers to work. I can no longer complain that I cant find a great salad in Saint Louis. The shrimp were HUGE and everything so fresh. We also got the smoked salmon, capers and onion pizza. We loved it. It was unique and packed full of flavor. Our only complaint: we would add more red onions and capers. We had take-out, so I can’t comment on the service, other than the hostess was very friendly and helpful.
