The pizza is really good, imaginative and flavorful. The drinks are nice, I had the whisky sour and it was on point. The salads are ok. Overall the experience was a bit pricy though. I got the salad and since I wasn’t into the cheese it was an $11 lettuce bowl (not pictured). The outside area is nice.

Fabulous brick fired pizzas. The sweet heat had a marvelous blend of flavors and lived up to its name. The Margherita was delicious with the fresh basil & mozzarella toppings. Will definitely be back to try other flavors.

The food was to die for, one of the best restaurants in altoona. Every bite was amazing, definitely worth the money. The only suggestion I have is to serve the sandwiches/entrees with a side.

One of the best restaurants in Altoona! The beer selection is phenomenal, among the top homebrews I’ve ever tasted, and I’m from Wisconsin! I was delighted by the awesome indoor aesthetic and jovial staff. Vegan/vegetarian-friendly! A great time for the average price of a lonely Dominoes dinner. Can’t wait to go again!

Not one to ever review a place but I was very disappointed with my service. My boyfriend and I went during the blair creators festival. It wasn’t packed at all maybe about 6-8 tables. Two groups who sat down over 10 minutes after us were served and out the restaurant before we ever got our food. We waited 45 minutes for our pizza which was not worth it. The server never came to check on us but instead was eating and not attending to her tables. Very disappointed in my service.

We had a group gathering tonight and were wowed with the excellent customer service, food, overall dining atmosphere and experience. Trey was our server; he was personable and accommodating to our group needs and the order changes we had. We had pizza and salads everyone said about how good their meals were. They do have a real gem on the menu and that’s the meatball appetizer — I am not quite sure how to describe it except to say you taste the meat and not that ‘filler’ taste normally found in meatballs there is a hint of cheese and the sauce is a full burst of tomato taste with a nice finish of fresh basil. I had my first experience with cider and loved it — the strawberry cider was a nice balance of tart and sweet. JJ Hadleys is absolutely worth the time to get off Pleasant Valley Blvd and make a short detour to downtown Altoona.

Shockingly good Pizza! We tried 5 different pizzas for our group and every Pizza was delicious. I lived in Italy for 4 years and I did not expect to find this quality of Pizza here in Altoona PA. Will be back everytime I’m in town.

Five stars all around! The pizza, the atmosphere, the house dressing… all of it is spectacular. Our favorite include the classic margherita wood fired pizza, and the Detroit styled sweet heat was a home run. Beers and mocktail selections are great for the whole family, so don’t miss out on this Altoona gem.
