This was my first time here after a friend in the oilfield told me it was a must try spot. Man was he right! That catfish basket was one of the best I’ve had. The hush puppies sent my mind back to when my grandma made them by hand. I definitely will be back when I’m in town. Amazing place and even better people.

Rarely do I rate 5 Stars. I have not been home in 3 months. This is the first time I have had a taste of a home cooked meal. The meatloaf tasted like grandma’s. The beans were perfectly cooked. My buddy had the catfish. I had to try and will have to get that next time. Did not have that watery taste or farm raised taste. It had a gread flavor. The waitress was by herself and when the cook had time, he was helping the tables with drinks. The place was packed and nobody had to ask for more drinks. Hands down to a great resturaunt! A customer suggested we meet her for a lunch meeting. There was 4 of us that met. We all got the chicken fried steak, which is pretty darn good. The broccoli cheese and rice is amazing. The atmosphere takes me back to a better time. The movie posters in the walls and the good old country just take the stress off and let me enjoy a meal without the feeling I need to rush. Will be back again for sure. Fair pricing, great food, and awesome atmosphere

It’s a good little spot for lunch. All orders are made to order so everything is fresh. Just wished the hours were extended to lunch. I recommend it if your looking for a good American southern style lunch!! Fried fish is the bomb and chicken fried steak too!! Meatloaf was good but came out a little cold and needed more sauce… But I’d go back because it’s usually a good experience!
