Walk up stairs and around the corner and right through the door. Amazing ambience and the sushi bar looks amazing. So happy with our selections of restaurants in this town. Second night here in San Juan Islands and this location had some of all. I had steak and my wife had sushi. Service was great and Jesus was very attentive. We loved every bite. Will return. Highly recommend.

Very, very good sushi. Service was top notch, and while the kitchen was running slow, the patience and care of our server, Heather, was amazing! Definitely ask for her as your server, if possible. She is so gracious and knowledgeable, an amazing lady. Other than the wait, though, this place is fantastic! The menu was extensive with tons of options. They’ve got a phenomenal bar, wine list, and drinks list. They’re only open 4 days a week, which is slightly annoying, but their hard work clearly shines through their delicious food and atmosphere. And being on the 2nd floor, the view of the harbor is a superb bonus while dining! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this great restaurant!

Fabulous, fabulous sushi rolls! Very nice atmosphere. You get to watch the staff roll sushi for some added entertainment. The special rolls aren’t cheap, but neither are the other restaurants in Friday Harbor. The special rolls average about $20 each. They aren’t small rolls but they also aren’t massive. My wife and I split 3 rolls and also got edamame and a seaweed salad. We were barely able to finish and wish we would have gotten just 2 rolls instead. Be sure to make reservations as this place is really popular. We went twice during our stay on San Juan Island.

OK, I love this place. It’s my go-to spot in Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. Sushi is always fresh and creative. Funky upscale atmosphere with great service. Love the black cod appetizer! You will find lots of rolls and sushi to satisfy any taste. A little pricey, but worth the splurge.

I was flying in from Honolulu and the quality of sushi here is on par with those Japanese places in Honolulu. Probably one of the best sushi I had in mainland. It took one hour to get the food and it’s take-out only. I almost missed my plane back to Reston

Outstanding sushi! Our server was attentive, the view was great and the food was wonderful. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because my wife and I each ordered an entree and hers came out about 7 minutes before mine so the timing was off somewhere

Great restaurant right near the waterfront with delicious sushi! The sushi was extremely filling and fresh! As a sushi lover, Tops’l prepared some of the best sushi I’ve ever had! My family and I ordered the spicy ika which took calamari to the next level! It was so delicious and perfectly cooked! Definitely would go again!

The only(?) place to get decent sushi in Friday Harbor, although I hear some competition is soon to open. The view will not be matched, the atmosphere can’t be matched. One of my favorite places to visit on the rock.

A phenomenal sushi restaurant in a place where you’d least expect it. The Miso soup is made with love, absolutely not from a package. The rice is seasoned beautifully and it’s all to showcase some incredibly fresh fish. It’s not cheap, so expect to pony up, but, for what you’re getting its without question worth it. I’m already planning my next visit.
