Pretty good spot to get seafood around town. Loved their poppas wharf seafood platter. I would say 1 plate could feed 3-4 people instead of the two they mentioned. We ordered 1 full and a half of the seafood platter and came to be around $84 including tax and fees. The seafood was seasoned perfectly, not too salty but definitely had a spicy kick. I’d come back.

The best in all the land! If my home town knew how to cook fish, serve portions size, and sell at this price, I wouldn’t leave to eat elsewhere. But they don’t so we go where the good stuff is at!. Try it you will love it!

Ordered the crawfish fried, for our appetizer, was over the top delicious, crispy & light. Burger and fries average, Oyster poboy good,, hint don’t order plain food at a seafood restaurant, I saw plate after plate of delicious fried seafood,, heard many compliments about it.

Disappointed… I got crawfish here this evening and honestly it was very disappointing. I sucked a few of the heads and they had no flavor at all and most of them were very tiny. I ended up resorting to peeling them and dipping them in hot sauce to get a little flavor. I will say the seafood platter that another guest got looked great. I’m not going to knock the other menu items but skip the crawfish, and in my opinion they were much better at their original location.

Glendale’s hidden secret for great seafood! We ate here for the 1st time today. I wish we hadn’t waited so long! The fried catfish…perfect! Enjoyed the fried shrimp too. Fried mushrooms were the bomb. The sweet tea is worth going back for 4th’s. Would recommend eating at this restaurant for the family or date night. Oh, yes! Thay have excellent onion rings and coleslaw, as well! My husband said the crawfish were worth eating and he’s from New Orleans! Do yourself a favor and try Poppa’s! You won’t regret it!

Excellent local seafood! Large variety of fresh seafood to pick from! I got the fried oyster platter with red potatoes and a salad. Hands down the best fried oysters I have ever had! My husband got the fried catfish which was amazing as well! The staff were friendly and the restaurant was very clean! They also have different spices and sauces that you can buy as well. SOOOO glad we stopped in for dinner! Would highly recommend!!

They were super busy when my hubby and I went for dinner on a Saturday evening but we got our food very quickly. The crawfish tail appetizer was good! The Seafood Platter for 2 was phenomenal! Every single thing on it was delish! We both ate until we were full and still took enough home to both eat again! We can’t wait to go back!

First time at Poppa’s, and it’s unfortunate I have to write this review. We were helped and walked through how to order and things were going great. We were excited to try the crab legs in hopes to come back for AYCE. Ordered 7 clusters of crab and two salads. Sat down and waited…..and waited ….and waited. Was not concerned until it was 45 mins later and a family came in sat next to us and got a tray full of crab and shrimp in less than 10 mins. Went to the front counter and was told they had not had time to bring the crab to our table and handed me a tray of cold crab. I asked to see a manager, but there was not one at the time. I was offered a refund after I suggested that would be the proper action, but since I still wanted to try the cold crab legs was only offered half off. I took them and sat down to eat cold crab legs. Was at the resturant for 90 mins (1 1/2 hours). Will not return, which is sad because we go to the coast for AYCE crab weekly and wanted to find something a little bit closer to home. To give credit where credit is due. The crab legs were tasty! Cold, but tasty.
