While visiting friends in Traverse City we stopped in to Mission Proper for a drink. I was instantly impressed with the exquisite decor, friendly staff, amazing coffee, beautiful outdoor seating area and everything in between. Our bartender, Vince, was fantastic. He was super attentive and answered all our questions about the menu and venue. I would go back in a heartbeat.

Inside and outside spaces both were gorgeous and relaxing. We enjoyed the cake, buns, and coffee then lounged on the patio and played jenga and cornhole. These are the kinds of places we seek out as a family when passing through but I would love a place like this near home too. Also loved the art shop Tinker and found some great things. There was plenty of room here mid-morning but I imagine they will get more busy as word gets out.

I love the modern vibe here. The Turkey BLT sandwich was FANTASTIC and I’m not even a sandwich person. I love that they have liquor and specialty cocktails. An establishment like this is a great addition to the area!

Haphazard, discombobulated customer interface. They want to be too much, but they’re not doing any of it consistently well. We’ve been 3 times; our 1st visit we waited 2 hours for a pizza. Then, the cheese tasted vegan, which means like a mayonnaise flavor. It was gross!

Sophisticated ambiance, delightful staff. Went for pizza night tonight and had so much fun! Loved the espresso tonic. I enjoyed shopping the tastefully curated goods. Walked on the patio, such a beautiful outdoor setting. Seamlessly moved to cocktails, enjoying a gin and juice from Old Mission Distilling. Highly recommend you stop for a local golden experience.

Great experience with amazing character and friendly people. Met the GM, great guy! I loved having a place to relax during winery tours which offers both coffee bar and standard liquor bar, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy the landscape/scenery. Will definitely return anytime we come back to TC. My wife’s favorite stop so far!

Great to have a coffee shop out on Old Mission! Had a large espresso with oat milk and it was delicious, as was the big flaky almond croissant (which looked like a Nine Bean Row pastry). They had a jazz keyboard player that set a lovely background mood this Sunday morning. Old fashioned fun with corn hole games outside complete with a water stand to help squelch the heat. A lot of tasty treats in the refrigerated case as well. I think in the future there will be times they wish for a larger parking lot… And don’t forget to cross that parking lot and visit Tinker to purchase anything from great artwork to smaller gifts.
