This is a MUST any time we’re back on Kauai. The TOPSS is hands-down my favorite of the options. It’s really hard to nail down what makes bread and deli’s sandwiches so amazing but it has to be a combination of the great bread that they make there in the shop and the quality ingredients. We’ve been eating here for literally decades and it has been consistently good the entire time.

I previously rated Deli and Bread 5 stars because the food is great. However, I haven’t been able to eat there for weeks because the phone line is always busy and it’s impossible to place an order to go. The employees are short staffed so they leave the phone off the hook, and management refuses to set up online ordering. Very frustrating as a long time customer.

Over all I would have to say that we enjoyed our lunch here. My wife and son split a pastrami on rye. They said it was good, but not the best one they had ever had. I had the megalodon and it was exceptional.
