Was in the area and Google maps had it show up with other places. Was extremely happy we selected to go here. This place is an experience. 50s theme everywhere, great food, great staff. It was my birthday and they all sang happy birthday to me. It was also a staff member’s birthday so they also got a happy birthday sung. They brought me a muffin with a candle on it as well. Very very pleased with Nellie’s.

Large menu plus several specials. 6 different benedicts-hard to choose. Crab cake Benedict was excellent, steak tips and eggs was delicious! Lots of food. Not a huge dining room but was able to get a booth on a Saturday at 9am with no wait. Wait staff was wonderful, coffee was good. Cute place!

Diner very clean staff is super nice. Food is ok but not worth the price. 61 dollars for 2 people. Where most are much cheaper. Lots of food and tater tots are crispy. Again service was great.

Service and atmosphere was great. I was disappointed in the home made hash. Very dry and tough to chew. French toast are big and portion size of everything is filling.

I went here with my mother. We entered thru the doors at 1:17pm. It was such a fun atmosphere, even though there were only about 3 tables occupied when we arrived. They close at 2pm on Sundays, so my Mom and I both ordered something pretty fast. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato (being a vegetarian, there wasn’t really anything on the menu I could eat. ) It came with fries and I added a side of baked beans. I was so excited to see that as an option on the menu. My Mom had French toast with bacon and a black coffee. The ambiance was so fun and lively. They had really cool retro decor and played the same type of music. The waitress was friendly when she greeted us, was attentive to our needs, and our food arrived, piping hot and EXACTLY the way we ordered it. It is very tasty. My mom and I enjoyed our time there, and loved looking at all the different salt and pepper shakers at each table. At 1:47 a couple walked thru the door, sat themselves at a booth. My mom and I were floored because you guys close at 2pm. We were like okay they are gonna just grab a shake and leave. Nope, instead they both order burgers, fries, onion rings, with all the fixins and 2 cokes. We couldn’t believe it. I guarantee you the staff in the back had penalty cleaned out the fry-o-later. Cleaned off the grill, and were just waiting for us to finish and then they would pack up. Not now, they had to cook more food, and this couple wasn’t courteous of the time, they took their time eating and were completely oblivious to the fact they were there past closing hours. When we left we went to a couple other stores in the plaza, and we were walking back to our car at 2:30 and peeked in, and they were STILL THERE! I felt so bad for the staff. They have lives too, possibly plans and places to go and they were just waiting on them to leave. When we got back to my mother’s house I just couldn’t let it go. My brain turning issues creative gears I called back to Nellie Rose. Someone answered, I told her who I was and that we had just eaten there and acknowledged the situation. I gave her a suggestion. When they are 30 minutes from closing they should offer a “Last minute Menu”. On that menu will be things that can be prepared fairly quickly. Ie: Grilled cheese, BLT, Tuna or Tuna Melt, Reuben with “Chips” and a pickle, sodas, and milkshakes. At this point the fry-o-later is shut off. This way the customer will now be aware of the closing time, and HOPEFULLY be more courteous to their stay. I hope the next time we go there, they will have taken my advice. Their time is just as valuable as anyone else’s.

Had a Greek omlet that was loaded with feta cheese, spinach, tomato and black olives. It came with your choice of home fries or hash browns and toast (got marbled rye). I believe it’s a three egg omelet but seemed more like 4 or 5. Pricey? Take into the state of the economy and the fact that it costs more to deliver the items a restaurant needs to exist. Existing is not why someone opens a business! They open a business to make money so the price confirms with the state of this lousy economy. Will definitely go again and recommend trying this place of you enjoy a good clean breakfast!

Great ambience. Visited multiple times on weekdays never disappointed with the taste of food. Customer service was also good. Wait time was always less.
