I have been craving a meatball sub for a while and decided I would buy one for lunch. What a waste of time and money that turned out to be. Stale old burnt bread, poor service and lack of proactive customer service have kept me from ever going back. In a large sub there were only six meatballs and enough sauce to make spaghetti. I had to ask for vegetables before they wrapped my sandwich cause it wasn’t even offered. I dislike wasting money, I really dislike wasting money on bad food.

Subway’s? never heard of her LOL, In Need of a hero?, then look no further than Blimpie! Great customer service, reasonable price range or at least better then most places, 3 cookies for a $ 1.00, very friendly, and very helpful as well. If you find yourself near downtown or if you’re visiting the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas and in need of a sub then look no further than the inside of Rivercenter Mall. It’s right next to the Riverwalk and a great place to visit. The price range is very good better than most places I’ve been through in Texas. If you have a Pacific Way in how you like to prep your sub then feel free to let them know. Don’t be afraid to ask to put your bun in the oven first so that it’ll give it a good crispy crisps taste without heating up your tuna, because I like to have my tuna sandwich cold and the Buns toasted and on the other hand You might like to cook it your way… so feel free to ask how you would like to prep your sub. So Please, give Blimpie a visit inside the River Center Mall. You will not be disappointed, enjoy yourself and have fun.- COWBOY PREACHER

I was craving a sandwich for lunch so I went here to try it out. Instantly regretted it but I didn’t want to be rude. Employee ended up not adding cheese, my bread was stale, when adding the to my sandwich he was leaning on my food-NOT sanitary. Everything was poorly prepared and they try to pass of zucchini instead of cucumber.

I went there at noon and the lady said to come back in 15 min so I came back in 15 min and they still had their sign up that said “come back in 15 min” so I just ate somewhere else. 2 hours later I passed by this same location and they still had their sign and no one was at the counter. The owner needs to know this. Employees were just hanging out in the back not taking orders.

I ALWAYS try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. I give it at least 3 tries before being totally turned off because with food places the experience will always vary. I have been here at least 3-4 times and I must say they are consistently BAD! The veggies are limp and old, the meats are NOT of good quality. I realize everyone cant be GREAT, but this place is substandard at best! Their customer service is lacking to put it mildly and their food gets a low D- for me.

We like Blimpie but don’t have any close by where we live. So we always make it a point to stop when we can. It was late evening but we still got fresh sandwiches. Server was very friendly and professional. Only thing keeping this from being a 5-star rating is my wife had to hunt the server down in the store after waiting a few minutes at the counter.

Not for me. If I could I would give them 5 stars plus for the ordering system. Cool way to order a sandwich. But the sandwich I ordered, a roast beef with tomato, lettuce, mayo and mustard I took two bites and tossed the rest. I honestly can’t tell you why – accept to say the bread was mushy not of good quality and the ingredients were substandard. I do not like giving poor reviews. Their customer service was excellent and their shakes – were as good as Johnny Rockets, Red Robin or Fuddruckers. I am not a Subway fan but always finish every bite of sandwich I order at a Subway – yet, Blimpie for some reason, I could not eat. To be fair the place was packed – and everyone else around me were happy eating the food.

This mall barely deserves one star. The major issues I have with this mall is the parking price. I understand that this mall is right next to the Alamo and the riverwalk, so you can make a profit, but the shopping area on Hollywood Blvd. is a lot cheaper, and could definitely charge the prices River Center is charging. The bathrooms are alright, but they lack something EVERY DECENT BATHROOM HAS, a coat hook to place your coat/jacket while you are in a stall. The only good thing they have for them is the food court since they have some unique places to eat. Speaking of the food court, expect to be yelled at by all the food court employees to yell at you to eat at their place, and disrespect the other places, this only applies to the non-fast food restaurants.

Your average mall in the 21st century. Lots of empty storefronts. The food court is pretty decent and the river boat cruises come right into the center courtyard where there’s a large Christmas tree and lots of live music around the holidays. Also probably the best public restrooms in the Alamo vicinity.
