The good thing is we can eat outside. But the food wasn’t as flavorful as I thought. The Carne Asada Torta wasn’t bad or good. Just okay.

Good food, but i was surprised and disappointed that they have reduced their menu options and no longer offering the “antojos” part of their menu. For non-spanish speakers antojos means craving in a direct translation but a more appropriate description i guess would be snacks. Only Mexicans love their snacks. A good example of an american version of an antojo would be a bag of chips at 7 eleven topped with their nacho cheese and chilli and so jalapenos. Well all the antojo like menu options are not available anymore. In any case the rest of the menu available is still very good and well made. Also, i will add that their prices are a little on the high side compared to many other mexican food places but they aren’t charging full on sit down restaurant prices. They do have outdoor seating out in front of the tiny kitchen where you order the food. They appear to allow to bring your own beer but can’t tell for sure until this pandemic is over. Their seating is outdoor so you can sit down and eat if it’s not busy but there is very limited seating at the moment. All in all not a bad meal.

This place never lets me down. It’s a little hole in the wall that will blow you away! The food is always fresh and their service is excellent!

Today, they closed two hours early, unapologetically. It looked kind of small and crappy from the outside, and everything was outside… I’m sorry I made the effort to check them out. Your mileage may vary.

We visited our son in LA, and first night he took us to dinner to his favorite taco spot. My husband, who doesn’t typically put Mexican food on his top list of restaurants, loved his burrito and the salsa. He loved the salsa so much that we got a container to go. I had the tacos and wasn’t disappointed. The watermelon smoothies were amazing, too. Cheap prices for great food. Nice little patio, which is where we ate, but it appears that most orders are carry-out. Friendly service. Note cash only.

Great food at a fair price. Their salsas have a good kick to them, fast & friendly service.

I had the chicken and carne asada tacos. Chicken was white meat not too much flavor in the meat. However the carne asada was delicious! Tortillas where heated to perfection and the homemade salsa was delicious.

I’ve been to 30 tacos shops in LA. These tacos are smaller than most, less flavorful than most AND no place to wash hands . OK service and not a bad environment. The food could be better but service is cool.

Fifth time here third time eating and honestly disappointed. the food is good however the 2nd and third time I went here they opened an hour and a half later than their posted open time and then tonight they charged $2 extra per juarache more than the posted menu price and then charged an $1 additional because I paid with credit card. Really disappointed because I love their lengua it is truly crave worthy and I want to support good local business but get it together cannot support a businesses it serious lack of integrity and consistency. Probably won’t come back!

El Oaxaco has become one of my goto taco spots, and more or less a staple of my diet. I give it my highest recommendations, without reservation. It’s open late, the food is cheap and delicious as hell, and everyone is really friendly. Also, the salsa bar is top notch too, and really adds a lot to your tacos/burritos. It’s super fresh, and has a range of heat. They’re spicy green sauce is straight fire hot – really gives you pause for consideration, but the milder avocado/tomatillo sauce is cool and refreshing.
