Fantastic and an Excellent value! WELL worth traveling FAR OUT of YOUR WAY to get there‼️ The food is OUTSTANDING, hands-down one of the best meals to be found anywhere in the DC-BALTIMORE-ANNAPOLIS triangle Over 4 visits, I’ve had: the Turkish Coffee, the Mantu appetizer, “My Kabul” salad, Butter Chicken**, the Chicken Shwarma over Rice, Sabzi (spinach), and the Ferni/Mahalabi pudding– all dishes were Excellent, perfectly seasoned and beautifully plated/presented with obvious care and pride. **The Butter Chicken is especially GREAT– FAR more flavorful than any I’ve ever had at any Indian restaurant! The coffee is also exquisite (NOTE: be advised that with traditional coffee like this, some coffee-grounds are left in the cup. So don’t be surprised to see some grounds in the bottom when you’ve emptied it )

Delighted we found this restaurant. The food was fresh, delicious, and unusual – similar to Indian but a different flavor palette and presentation, with distinct middle Eastern influences. We’re not vegetarian, but we ordered a vegetarian lunch and loved every bite – especially the eggplant. We also had a made-to-order ice cream-like dessert sprinkled generously with crushed pistachios. The service was attentive, friendly, and quick. We’ll be back to try a fuller array of dishes. This restaurant is a winner.

For the first time we went to try this new restaurant. The ambient atmosphere, the tables and the menu all were unique and different from many restaurants we visited before. We selected few appetizers and soups. They were excellent. We saw the guy was working hard behind the counter churning something. We were told that he was making ice cream fresh from milk. So, we ordered it to taste. It was like kulfi with pistachios. We really enjoyed the experience and would like to go back soon. The food was different from many other Afghan restaurants, and we really like all the items e ordered. Hope they will keep up the quality and the cleanliness.

“Kabul Cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of the city! The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a delightful aroma of authentic Afghan cuisine. The ambiance was inviting, and the cozy decor added to the overall experience. As a halal restaurant, it was great to know that I could indulge in all the mouthwatering dishes worry-free.
