if you’re in the mood for some finger-licking good BBQ, look no further than Sweet Lew’s in North Carolina. I visited this joint with the family and tried a variety of dishes, including fish, wings, chopped pork, brisket, sausage, and ribs. The brisket had the perfect amount of smokiness. The sausage had just the right amount of spice, and the fish was crispy and delicious. Unfortunately, the chopped pork was somewhat dry and the wings, though flavorful, still were bloody around the joints. The ribs were fantastic, although I personally would have preferred them to be smothered in sauce. That being said, they were still fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. You do have the option of various sauces on the side to pair with your proteins. The sides were also a hit, particularly the slaw, baked beans, and collard greens. The sweet onion hush puppies were also a hit. And the staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall experience. Overall, I recommend trying Sweet Lew’s BBQ when in the area.

It was good BBQ but not my favorite. The baked beans were like a sweet, chili flavor. The Mac n cheese was basic. My husband really like the sausage and the hash over rice. He felt it was unique from what he could get at other places.

Incredible bbq! I got the NC Pork plate with the baked beans and collard greens and everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Seth and Keah were so friendly and kind. Definitely gotta check this place out if you’re near Charlotte!

We are from out of state and came to Sweet Lewis for dinner to take to our air b&b. Kamari and Angie were so helpful and friendly! The food we got was delicious! You should give them a try. I loved the sausage and the pulled pork. Collard greens were also very tasty! Super potato salad. Actually, nothing was less than delicious!

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. First time visiting this restaurant & everything was great. The food was delicious. Customer service was outstanding. Kamari & Erica were excellent. They were kind & very knowledgeable about the menu options & meat selections. Had the Lee’s Sampler plate & it was more than enough for 2 people.
