When we 1st started eating here, it was really good. Then they changed the menu to more expensive iteams and the service became very bad. The food is good but what good is that if the wait staff never comes to your table to serve you. I tried over and over now i give up and its sad because we live near this place. The waif staff just looks at you but no come to the table.

i can’t speak to any other dish besides the shredded chicken quesadilla, so read this review with a grain of salt. these are the best chicken quesadillas i’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting in my entire life. i yearn for the recipe, as every waking moment is consumed by the thought of these quesadillas. i can’t concentrate on my school work because of these quesadillas. when i cook or eat anywhere else, the food is always compared the the deliciousness of these quesadillas, which is just unfair. i have no complaints about the service, it’s always fast and great. honestly, as long as i get the chicken quesadilla i know and love, the server can spill an entire tray of drinks on me and i would still thank him. come to el toro. get the shredded chicken quesadillas. thank me later.

I love tacos and tequila. I love jumbo margaritas…. only thing is , that we have nothing but taco trucks and restaurants on every corner now. I understand that you open these restaurants for family and wealth but remember to put the effort into the business. It’s like yall putting them up with no effort and expect for it to be good as the last. I myself order the Mexican steak from all different El Toro. The steak is never the same cut. I don’t like a taco full of fat covered in cilantro and onion. Or old steak covered in cilantro and onions.. I would like 3 steak tacos well marinated steak with cilantro and onion.

Every time I stop in Champaign, IL I come to this delicious restaurant! I have now done both dine in and takeout & I’d say they both hit the spot. Great fajitas, flautists, enchiladas, mules & margs, & yummy chips/salsa. The fajita quesadilla is HUGE and amazing. Staff has always been so friendly and inviting, thank you! Their food is typically well done and good tasting. The menu is large as is the norm for most Mexican cuisine restaurants. Service is normally fast, however can be slow at times. Prices are decent, but maybe a touch higher than some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area.
