This is my favorite pizza on island. We had the spinach and garlic white pizza, pepperoni pizza, and garlic knots. All were incredibly delicious, with fresh homemade dough in a more New York style.

One of the Big Island’s hidden gems nestled perfectly in Waimea! Ordered the shrimp scampi.. came with a perfectly charred crust, good balance of toppings, and reasonably priced. Awesome mom and pop vibe, and extra kudos to the friendly Friday night staff! Definitely a must try when you visit the island, you won’t regret it.

Tasty, heavily floured dough with plenty of tasty toppings. A bit under seasoned so don’t hesitate to add some parm, red peppers, or (pro tip) ask for garlic powder to kick the flavor up a notch.

If you are looking for a damn good NY style Pizza look no further than James Angelo’s Underground Pizza. Kind, quick and friendly. Compared to what you would pay for Mediocre food this AMAZING pizza was a STEAL. The crust is perfection, no utensils required. Perfectly thin and crispy on the bottom & nice and chewy with the dough bubbles around the sides. The sauce is fresh and zesty just like a tomato from the garden. I’m very picky about cheese and the cheese really good. The topping size/distribution was like a work of art. FYI: BYOB & Cash only but there is a store right next door for supplies and cash.

This place has sooooo much character!! They are rocking out 50’s dance tunes at a volume you’d want. It sets the tone for the vibe of what feels like an actual 50’s pizza place. The owner(?) feels like a guy from New York (East coast accent)…and has the original grit it would take to make an authentic New York Pizza that they are clearly pulling off. Local one-of-kind places like this make little Waimea town so special. I’m a local from the other side of the island…and I’ll be back every time I cruise through this area.

As a born and raised New Yorker, this is the closet this island has to what I consider real pizza. The garlic knots were bomb too. I have been missing east coast pizza and after trying every pizza joint on this island this is top of the list for me so far.. only ate here once so we will see if they are consistent, but as far as dough and style they hit the mark.
