This place is a hidden gem. I got a chance to try it recently and boy I was blown away by the flavorful dishes. We tried nachos and garlic wine shrimp and both were very flavorful. Nachos was not just a dump of cheese and had a good mix of tomato, cheese, chips and peppers. Garlic shrimp rice was another winner with plenty of garlic, generous amounts of shrimp and rice to accompany it. All of these went well with horchata on the side.

Just had a great lunch date at La Chinita Poblana! The margaritas were delicious and they offered to make one without sugar when we asked which option on their menu had the least amount of sugar. The food was great and the service was awesome. Our server Valentino was attentive and friendly and the other people we interacted with there made us feel so welcomed. This was our first time there after wanting to try it for a while and we’re already making plans to go back.

We were staying in Westchester County fur the weekend and found this place on google maps. It’s located in a neighborhood that really reminds me of San Francisco with all of the shops and restaurants located in the neighborhoods and all of the houses close together and there are hills. And street parking. This all makes for a very cozy and good vibe to start out any evening. The restaurant continued that cozy feeling with a small, intimate space with enough staff to provide good service and keep drinks full. The food was amazing as was their unique specialty drink menu. We would definitely recommend any of our friends to put this place on their list of eateries in Westchester County.

Disappointed with the guacamole ! They said they make it fresh in the kitchen , but it definitely was not! Premade for sure! Drinks were pricey and so was the food. The food was just ok. Also paying $7.00 for chips is absurd! Probably won’t be returning.

Have been here many times and the food and service are always fantastic! The fajitas are incredible and the salsa is so fresh and reminds me of how Mexican food is in California 🙂 Valentino always takes great care of us and is very friendly and attentive. Best Mexican food around!

Never again. Have been ordering takeout from here for years. Always good. Tried eating in house tonight and they were short staffed which we understand and appreciate but after 45 minutes we had no food and no one noticed. When we flagged them they then put the order in. Took an hour to eat from when we arrived. They offered us dessert on the house but we were not interested and had to go. They refused to comp anything else off the bill instead. They were slightly apologetic but also seemed annoyed that we were annoyed. If you want it, just get it to go.

What a surprise to find such a unique and wonderful restaurant in Irvington. We stopped by on our way home from Tarrytown House Estate for a snack and had a full meal that rivaled any we’ve had in a long time. To top it off, Valentin and the rest of the staff were remarkable. Their hospitality was as extraordinary as our meal was. My partner and I can’t wait to go back and experience more of their wonderful menu. Don’t miss the Duck Tacos…Be adventurous and try the cactus… and the special cocktails will surprise you

It was my first visit for lunch at La Chinita Poblana but will not be my last! Went with two friends. The appetizers, entrée and desserts were spot on delicious. Our cocktails (White Sangria and a Margarita) wonderful. The service was great. Valentino was very attentive ensuring that our needs were met. Thank you Chinita Poblana for the lovely wonderful time.
