As a Greek I’m rather jaded about pork, very rarely satisfied with how it is cooked in the US.. but this carnitas taco I had was one of the best I’ve ever had the pleasure to put in my mouth. The place is 100% authentic as witnessed by the clientele, very reasonably priced.. what else could you ask for? I’ll definitely be going back.

I’m very disappointed with my visit. My food was very over cooked, fried tacos barley had any filling. The chips were very over cooked, tasted very nasty. Rice tasted like it had sat all day beans were cold, for the price of the food I expected better!! The food has really gone down hill in the last few years or so. I really don’t think I will be going back, 3rd time in a row, that the food was over cooked and not good.

How, in my 31 years of life, have I not had Tacos El Sol??? This place is amazing! Like, they serve real authentic tacos with actual chunks of meat that are not ground; they put cilantro and onions on top, not lettuce and cheese. And the flavor, man, the flavor, was on point! Just enough spicy kick that makes it flavorful but not too spicy to make it unenjoyable. They also have beef tongue and al pastor, which I feel should be a staple at real authentic Mexican restaurants. The beef tongue and al pastor were amazing! Especially the al pastor! If you’re like me and haven’t eaten here yet, you should!!!!
