Since opening my first restaurant almost twenty years ago a third opportunity recently presented itself to me. I was encouraged by a group of loyal friends, my amazing business broker Charles Jay and many faithful customers that a new dining prospect in North Macon would be a welcome addition to the list of fine eateries in our city. After extensive renovation, under the direction of designer Paul Rodgers, Christian’s on Bass Road was established. I am now ready to invite you to my new place for an outstanding dining experience. I am looking forward to continuing what has been my lifelong passion…creating superior dishes in a beautiful, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere.

We went for a date night. It was okay. The service and wait times were definitely the worst parts. Not that the waitress wasn’t friendly, she was, but she forgot to bring us more bread when we asked and I ordered a specialty cocktail that she just forgot about all together. The food was mediocre. Not bad but not great. The best dish was the escargot appetizer. The wait for our food took entirely too long. We waited probably 20 minutes for bread when we first got there and a good 50 minutes for our main dishes after we ordered them. The atmosphere was nice. The food wasn’t worth the price. We probably won’t be back.

The hostess was spectacular! All of staff there is very attentive and do all they can to make your fine dinning experience. It is worth every penny. The food is wonderful. I can’t wait to go back again!

Our first time to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was outstanding as was the service. There is such attention to detail. I personally loved that the to go containers and straw were not made of plastic but of recycled cardboard. The food was delicious with great presentation. The portions were also very generous. So far, the best fine dining in Macon. Hats off to the chef.

I called to make a reservation to celebrate an anniversary and the hostess answers answers immediately asking me to hold. I proceeded to hold for 10 minutes. I hung up then called back again and the same hostess answers again but doesn’t ask me to hold this time and says how can I help you. I told her I was just on hold for 10 minutes trying to make a reservation. Her reply was sorry, you called at a busy time. For a hostess to have forgotten about the customer on hold at this type of “fine dining establishment” is ridiculous.

Nice little place with good service. I did not like how the seafood thermidor was served. The portions were huge and it made it feel less classy than it should have been. Sauce was overflowing, plate was too small, there was too much sauce, too much of everything. The rest of the meal and experience was good and I’ve been there before, it’s still a good restaurant.

I had looked at the menu online and confirmed when I got there that the salmon and pasta was what I wanted. There was only one salmon dish on the menu. The server did not bring me salmon and pasta. She brought me salmon and some fried risotto in the shape of a cube and was nasty. The salmon was dry and overall it was not good. She said the salmon and pasta had been removed from the menu and I told her it was on my menu. I didn’t ask for a change because we were there with friends and I didn’t want to be the last one eating. I just ate what she gave me but it was not good and not worth $37. My spouse got a steak and his mashed potatoes were frozen in the center. Fine dining from the microwave? His steak was very good. The server was polite but not the level of service typical for that price range. Not worth the $143+tip…

It was an okay visit. Had Seafood Thermidor which was good being it was my first time trying and didn’t have a prior experienceto compare it to. Spouse had Chilean Sea Bass that wasn’t on par with sea bass we had at The Back Burner. It’s a change of pace to experience outside of franchise restaurants, however, there are tastier, surrounding fine dining restaurants.

Our server was awesome and knew the specials by heart. The drinks were good. The calamari appetizer was horrible and one of the worst we have had. I got a caesar side salad which turned out to be $15 and the caesar dressing tasted like it was out of a jar or something I could buy at the grocery store pre-made. My red snapper was not that good. It was seriously lacking flavor and seemed like it had been warmed up. Didn’t seem fresh at all. My boyfriend’s lamb was good, but everything else on his plate was bland. I was expecting a lot more for what we paid.

EDIT (10/30/22): Went a 2nd time, and still wonderful! If you aren’t sure what to get, try the duck with cherry sauce for an entree. Also, if they have chocloate mousse cake, get it – texture is amazing. SO GOOD.

Five star French dining for sure. Our waitress was phenomenal, and I’m certain she can say the specials menu in her sleep. I cant say enough good things about the food. The vibe and the music was just right. Valentines dinner for 2 costed roughly $150 plus tip. We had apps, drinks, sodas, entrees, and desert. If you want a fine dining experience, definitely go to Christian’s
