Johnson’s BBQ Shack lived up to our expectations. It has been quite some time since we last visited the Bargersville location, and I swear the food tastes even better now. My son loved his Pulled Chicken Sandwich with the sweet BBQ sauce so much so he almost forgot he had ordered Mac & Cheese as his side dish. He is picky eater and for him to say that he enjoyed the Mac & Cheese and it is now his go-to side dish days a lot. I ordered the Brisket Platter, and loved every bite. Smoky, juicy and tender and tasted delicious by itself or in any of the BBQ sauces. The Cole slaw was creamy and crunchy with the right amount of seasoning. I enjoyed the Baked Beans which was sweet and smoky, but I found it to be a tad dry. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Food is great and always fresh! Employees are friendly and helpful with recommendations! They have lots of great options for gluten free diners. I do wish the back patio outdoor seating area was utilized and kept up more because it is a great space.

Wow! A friend recommended and took us to Johnson’s… Delicious BBQ! Super quick counter service bbq. A bit of a drive but totally worth it. Looks like they have a nice patio area for the spring and summer time highly recommended!

I’ve been here over 10 times and they never disappoint! They have great food, and great service! I would definitely recommend the pulled pork sliders. Those are very good. The vibe is cool. Overall very great experience!

$12 at their food truck got what you see in the photos.. Dry pulled pork with tender texture and decent smoky flavor, slightly bland and flat. Mac and cheese had good flavor, but the pasta was overcooked and the serving size was 2oz. Not enough meat on the sandwich to constitute two sides of the bun they gave, so we ate it open-faced.

First time there, the food is absolutely outstanding! The atmosphere feels very “homey” and I will be telling all my friends about this place. It’s no “hole in the wall” place, it is the wall and their name needs to blow up! You can’t go anywhere and get smoked meat the way they do it. I will absolutely be going back

Went for lunch today (a Saturday at 11am) with a party of 8 adults and 3 kids. Restaurant was empty, no other patrons. Man behind the counter was beyond unfriendly and acted so put out that we came there to eat. Food was horrible. Pulled pork tasted like it was made yesterday, was dry and crunchy throughout. Such a bummer. Not sure there will be a next time for us, but they sure did have the sales avoidance team out today…
