Wonderful meal at Sophia’s last night. Four of us and and everyone was very well pleased. Gracie, our server was super pleasant and attentive (also quite patient giving us plenty of time to visit and order meals). My wife and I split a Chicken Marsala “cream version” and our substitute for penne pasta was accommodated w no fuss. Our friends split probably the largest portion of lasagne I’ve ever seen and loved it, see photos.

The pasta was absolutely delicious! They also have a specials that aren’t on the regular menu so be sure to ask about that. The spicy vodka was a favorite at our table along with the Alfredo pasta. The Alfredo with sausage wasn’t as great as the regular one- maybe from the oil. But service was amazing and it is definitely a hotspot of Spartanburg.

I had heard good things about this place. So I went on a busy Friday night. It was packed. But we were sat quickly. The service was very nice n pleasant. The food was very lacking. Started wit meatball appetizer. Slightly burnt so the taste was off. I had the Marsala pasta. It was very unpleasant was extremely sweet almost like a teriyaki pasta the wine taste was completely gone. My wife had a steak it was cooked fine but had to much fat on it more than I would expect and the side potatos were just dead n not fresh. Overall the flavors of the food was just off on everything. I was disappointed. Not sure this is the Italian place I pick in this city.

We love Sophia’s. We have been coming ever since they opened. food is always consistent and delicious. Service is very attentive and they seem they all work together. We ended sitting at the bar many time as they have limited sitting for two people. The chairs are very comfy. will be back soon.

Always the best service here and food. You cannot go wrong with ordering anything on the menu, it is all delicious. My drink also never gets empty, the staff always refills it as soon as it is getting low. This restaurant definitely a gem

First time visiting Sophia’s and it was amazing and very authentic. The staff were polite and helpful and you never had to wait on them to fill your drinks or ask if you needed more bread. We went for a late Mother’s Day to celebrate my wife and mother-in-law and we all ordered different pasta dishes. I order the fettuccine sausage and mushrooms in a sweet wine cream sauce and it was absolutely amazing. The other dishes were great as well but mine was exceptionally delicious. We will be back.

Was looking forward to trying a new restaurant. I looked at the wine menu and there were 2 numbers 9/13…I assumed the first number was per glass, the second was a half carafe…I drank 2 glasses of wine which cost me $26. I had the salmon which was very good. The serving of salmon was quite adequate, but the roasted carrot side was larger than the main dish. The facility is quite small with very little room between tables to move. I could hear the conversation from the table behind me. They had ONE bathroom to accommodate both men and women. It reminded me of my club days waiting in line for the bathroom. The food was okay, but I don’t think we’ll be going back.

Hands down the best restaurant in Spartanburg. The most incredible quality with a diverse menu. Upscale without making the average Joe feel out of place. Staff is always kind and very attentive. This is my go to spot!

It’s been 10 years since I’ve visited downtown Spartanburg and it was absolutely worth the visit. Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve eaten at in quite a while. Our server was very attentive my water glass never got past half full, the food was absolutely delicious as well was the dessert and wine selection was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a perfect lunch or dinner spot. 10 stars if I could! Definitely will be my once or twice monthly dinner spots.
