On May 5’th my wife and I were touring Chattanooga. At lunchtime we wanted a small local cafe versus a chain store. Driving on 38’th St. we saw Maynells and decided to stop. The owner was arriving as we did and told us he was renovating the inside but we could order at the window. I explained that my wife did not want to eat in the car and we would like to sit despite the renovation work. He kindly cleared room and then made us a delicious lunch. I tried the bologna cheeseburger sandwich and Rena had the fish dinner. Excellent food and reasonably priced but, what made this cafe stand out was the owner/chef. Very gracious, personable and helpful. When we go to Chattanooga again we will go out of our way to eat here.

Got lunch passing through to Alabama. Fish plate was great, wasn’t dry, overbattered , or bland, slaw was dang good. Had wings, they were good too, didn’t dry em out. The Ms working kitchen was a sweet lady.

The food was amazing! We are from out of town and wanted to have some good food but not sit down somewhere. This place did not disappoint. Let my husband customize his burger. The food was fresh and the customer service was amazing. Definitely recommend.
