My father and I had a cup of coffee each. He had a grilled cheese sandwich. I ordered a cup of chili and a grilled cheese sandwich. The first bite of the sandwich, I said to my father the sandwich wasn’t grilled. I believe they popped some bread in a toaster and threw a piece of cheese between the two slices. There was no butter, no grill, no melted cheese. Unhappy. No second cup of coffee as they were cleaning the only pot in the restaurant. Then the bill arrived. I told the waitress she must have made a mistake. 2 items marked open food for $9.99 each. We had grilled cheese. The open food was the horrible dry grilled cheese. $28.52….Im trying to be decent in my review. What a freaking joke to anyone who goes there for a quick inexpensive lunch. They are thieves. The service was rude when they saw that I didn’t appreciate the blatant robbery. Notice they break down what the tips would work out to. We left a $6 dollar tip. Although I’m quite sure they already had 60% built into the price of our “Open Food.” Keep robbing your customers, you won’t need to worry about buying new placemats to show your new higher prices. You won’t have any customer.” Don’t go to Darb’s. It is definitely not worth the cost!

I give this place 2 stars because the server was very friendly even though she had just been triple sat (not by a host since there isn’t one, but by people choosing her section to sit in) and was very busy. The food was meh. We had the chips, salsa and cheese sauce for an appetizer. I ate 1 chip with cheese sauce on it and that was enough for me. The cheese sauce was more bland than the liquid cheese you get at a gas station and the chips were paper thin. My fiance and I shared a meat lovers pizza and we both agreed it didn’t have much flavor at all. My daughter got the chicken strips and fries and loved the fries but barely ate any of the chicken because she said it wasn’t good. My other daughter got the baked spaghetti and as you can see in the picture it’s pretty much just a small portion of spaghetti with some cheese melted on top of it. I’m fairly certain no part of this spaghetti has ever seen the inside of an oven. She ate it and didn’t complain but it definitely isn’t baked spaghetti and most certainly isn’t worth $11 even with food prices increasing. I use to live in eaton rapids and wasn’t much of a fan of darbs food and it’s sad to say that things haven’t changed.

This is a great little restaurant in a small, quiet town. The menue is good and prices are reasonable. I have had various burgers, smothered chicken, and salads. Today, I ordered the lasagna, and it was great. It’s an item I usually do not order because I am fussy about the sauce. This dish was excellent. The sauce was thick and seasoned well. I will definitely order it again soon.

I’m usually not very adventurous when it comes to trying new restaurants that are off the beaten path. However, after a basketball tournament several families chose to stop by. I am so glad they did! The food was great, had a good variety and the cost didn’t break the bank. To top it off they handled a decent sized group with ease.

All around a really bad experience and it saddens me to see what used to be on of my favorite places to go and grab a bite to eat. I grew up going here, I’ve had family and family friends whom used to work here. Even tho our waitress didnt say she forgot about our order the proof was in the pudding. Food was cold or way over cooked or it was way under cooked. We ordered an appetizer and watched a regular walk in and almost immediately get his appetizer before we had. Our appetizer was more of an after meal snack. I probably will no longer be doing business with them again. 3/10 dont highly recommend
