Went for the first time tonight and will be back soon! Had the seafood Mac n cheese which was huge and amazing! Husband had the jerk chicken and the spice was perfect! Great service and wonderful people!

The food was good and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the Jerk Chicken, it had good flavor and was a whole leg quarter. That is my biggest complaint, it was not appealing to tear up a leg quarter in a restaurant. It would have been nice if it was broken down chicken cooked in the sauce. The Mac and cheese was room temp and needed to be hotter but had good flavor. Sweet potatoe fries were my favorite! Hubs had the catfish, it was hott and crispy, very good. He enjoyed the Mac and cheese and onion rings. Lots of issues swiping a card to pay and we weren’t offered the ability to tip the two girls who waited on us due to this issue. No cash on hand. It was a bummer.

The food is so amazing. The atmosphere is personal and one of a kind. The staff is very friendly and on point as far as customer service. The owner is present and personable. It’s definitely a place to visit while in Tucson, and if you live there. A must once a week. It’s not more!!

Second time attending Janet & Rays restaurant. Both experiences food was amazing and customer service was impeccable. Authentic Caribbean food reminds me of home cooking. Please stop in if your nearby for a friendly atmosphere and excellent food. My only con is a limited menu during the week I enjoy the weekend menu more.

Had the catfish and it did not disappoint. The jerk chicken was very delicious. So much flavor in everything we had. The menu was not overwhelming and to my surprise 3 days a week has different offerings. There’s more I’d like to try so will be back.

Food and service were great! My mom got the curry chicken with rice/peas, and kale slaw, and I got the jerk chicken with mac and cheese and cabbage. Everything was very flavorful and cooked to perfection. The chicken was literally falling off the bone, and was still super tender and moist.

Real “Soul Food” is prepared and served at Janet and Rays. Each dish is so delicious you wouldn’t add so much as a grain of salt. The owner is personable and loving. She has a hidden treasure that should be a celebrated community staple.
