Nice little caribbean spot. Fresh food. They have buffer for about $15 a person or you can do take out at $8/lb, which if you want a decent portion, it’s better to dine-in.

Very expensive for such a small potion of food. $30 for whats in the photo. Small potion of Oxtails and Cabbage. Very blain flavor. Meaning not flavor or any in the gravy. Do not purchase the snow one(very dry) and not soft ice. The people are nice, but nice doesn’t satisfy tastebud’s. Not worth the price. BEWARE: A-LOT OF SMALL PIECES OF BONE IN THE RICE and Beans.

My sister recommended this spot. I’m glad I took her up on it…. Let’s just say FIRE! I was welcomed in, Mrs. Pamela (hopefully I spelled it right) was very patient and invited me to Karaoke Night in which I WILL be joining! Her husband made me this FIRE snow cone! I give this spot 1k stars! DEFINITELY GO CHECK THEM OUT!

We had been patronizing for years but were shocked with the recent price increases and the decrease in flavor and quality. Owners are nice and welcoming but can over do it at times. Especially when you are trying to enjoy your meal with your family. This used to be a hidden gem, but has lost its shine.

Sunday March 5, 2023 and I came here with my mother, sister, and two nieces. (To-go plate for my daddy). I drove apx 12 miles (inside the loop Houston) to get here and they came from Crockett/Grapeland TX.

Had the buffet. Food was alright, but nothing to write home about. We also requested an ala carte item, but the restaurant staff said they didn’t have the ingredients in stock at the time. Beverage selection could be a lot better, I think. There were a couple of almost empty pitchers of lemon and cucumber water that you could self-serve. The place is small and stuffy, kind of a hole in the wall establishment. Only had ceiling fans and a portable air blower off in the corner. The staff was cool, but if I did go back, it would probably be a to go order with jerk chicken, their best tasting item , in my opinion.

Doubles and homemade pepper was delicious, to top it of with a curry goat roti. Owners are very friendly and full of jokes. Love the real Caribbean feeling. Trini to di bone

The taste of the Caribbean is bringing the authenticity of Trinidad and Tobago to Houston. We woke up with the craving for West Indian curry and googled one of the best locations to visit. Google led us to a small journey close to the 59 at Taste of the Caribbean. We were welcomed with open arms. The owners were beautiful should who thoroughly entertained us with jokes and pure island vibes. The curry goat roti was a smash hit. If you’ve never had one, you’d be blessed to have this spot as your first try. The mango was sautéed in the curry , all of the chutneys and sauces were provided. It was a divine experience. This place is only open from Wed thru Sunday so make sure you go and devour this food.

I was in the area and had a limited time before going back to work so I Googled up buffet and this gem came up. I am really glad I decided to make the trip! The place is small and cozy, the owners are wonderful and the food is so tasty! I would strongly recommend this place for anyone wanting a different yet delicious experience.

The quality of the food has gone down and the price of the food has increased. This used to be my favorite Caribbean spot until they closed and repopened recently. This place was legitimately the only reason I decided to stay in this side of town. I guess great things don’t last forever. Doubles were my favorite thing on the menu and the curried goat that they increased the price on that was ALREADY expensive. The doubles used to be stuffed with flavorful filling now they are thin and bland. I will not be returning. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star is because the food used to be amazing. The quality was worth the price.
