Got the Mamaveca fish tacos and boy were they good! They also provided chips with salsa and queso. Waiter was great and was checking to make sure everything was good. The host also came by to check and was friendly. The inside was clean and the decor was very nice. The background music was in Spanish and added a nice ambiance to the dining experience. As I was leaving I noticed they have a bar. Very much enjoyed dining here.

1st time at the new location. So nice to have them so close by. Food and service was great, we will definitely be back. Hopefully they’ll get the patio set up pretty soon. Pictured is the smaller portion of the chicken fajitas (#22) The home made flour tortillas were the best I’ve had in a very long time.

Overall we liked it, the food and service was good and we’ll definitely go again. I’m interested in trying other menu items and may increase my ranking after having more dishes. Nothing really stood out as being fantastic and it doesn’t look they upgraded or changed the interior from the previous restaurant that was at that location.

Our waiter was absolutely amazing. Right on top of things and very friendly you could tell they really wanted to be at work and that’s refreshing to see.

If you like Mexican food and you haven’t been to Mamaveca, you are missing out on the best such place in Norman! We ate there yesterday; I had avocado enchiladas, and my hub had beef enchiladas. SUPERB! The rice and steamed beans as sides were also delicious, and the chips and salsa were too. We eat there regularly. The service is great. Really, give them a try. You won’t be sorry!

Steak Milanesa was much larger than I expected and delicious! Service was good as it gets and atmosphere was nice but the music was a little loud! Great lunch dining experience! I will return when I’m in this area!

Got seated on a Sunday evening, it wasn’t super busy so we didn’t understand why it took 10 minutes to get our drink order in. Asked for flour tortillas and waited another 5-10 minutes before we got our drinks and no tortillas. The waitress who we asked for tortillas then proceeded to ask if we wanted tortillas as if she forgot we already asked. Finally got to order and when food arrived mine came smeared in guacamole and sour cream when I asked for none and the plate had dried old food stuck to the plate and the silverware. It was remade and had chicken instead of beef. Then finally on the 3rd time it was made right. No offer of any kind to try and make the experience right. So we will not be going back for a while.

We have been going to Mamaveca’s for years. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant. The new Mamaveca’s on East Alameda doesn’t disappoint. The wait staff are very friendly and they are very fast getting your meals to the table. We love their thin chips and great salsa. I really like their green salsa, which is slightly hotter than their regular Salsa. Everything we tried so far on the menu is delicious.
