This is a step up from most of the island restaurants, pricier and a little more formal. But service is great, starting with the attractive young woman outside who ushers you to your seat inside or on the pavement seating area. We were a party of 8, and they were able to accommodate us on a Monday (we called ahead of course, reservations are recommended).

We went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. We did make a reservation. The food was good but difficult to enjoy as we were seated inside by the front doors that were constantly being held open by the hostesses (sometimes just standing in the doorway and not necessarily letting people go in or out). It became extremely hot to the point that we left earlier than planned. We are accustomed to the hot weather so this was not a matter of preference. It was uncomfortable. The service was also very lacking (spilled drinks, appetizer order never placed, etc.). We heard people at neighboring tables make similar complaints. There are plenty of other restaraunts in St. Simons that offer delicious food, a comfortable environment, and good service. Disappointed by this experience as it was a special occasion for us.

My favorite spot on the Island. Jewels always serves up the very best mixed drinks. Their filet mignon dish with risotto is delectable. I tried their skirt steak this time and it was amazing. Chef Carlos came over to see how much we were enjoying his creations. We gave him props for two perfect meals. We will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I discovered SSI a year ago.. we have came to the island 4 times in that year and will be there in a month or so… we discovered Del Sur our first trip and was so pleased!! Sometimes we eat dinner there the whole trip… we can’t wait to get back, we love everything about it!!!!

Great place to stop in St. Simons if you want upscale food. Service was excellent, made you feel like part of the family. Food was superb, however portion size was a little small for the price in my opinion. For example, the menu said the salmon came with asparagus but when the plate came out it was literally one stalk of asparagus cut in half… the bacon wrapped scallops were the best I’ve had. Excellent!
