“Cliché'” I have NEVER. EVER. Had a Reuben this good. I’d like to consider myself a Reuben connoisseur and this Reuben here, lord have mercy. It melts in your mouth, it’s so juicy, the flavors that burst w/ each bite are unexplainable. Some might call, a magical experience! The staff were delightful! The place looked good. The drinks were ice cold & the food was “blow off before taking a bite” fresh!!! The moment they reopen we will be back!

5 Stars – All. The. Way. This is a gem of a place! Friendly service and atmosphere for sure but the food…just give me a minute to compose myself…is absolutely wonderful. The brisket is perfectly seasoned and smoked, the Cajun Poboy is VERY flavorful, and the Reuben is something you’ll lose sleep over planning your next visit. They’re making a great addition with their outdoor dining experience out back – I look forward to seeing it when it’s finished! Don came over and talked with us a bit and shared some of his story with us. What a great guy! If you’ve never been, make it happen. You won’t be disappointed!

I’ve wanted to write this comment for a long time but with these unpredictable times, it has been impossible, but finally! I want to say that the girl who served us, I think her name is Kasie, is an incredibly nice and attentive girl, with a beautiful smile, and the food is spectacular!!! We had BBQ and a Reuben, and that Reuben was the best I have ever eaten in my life, their brisket is also spectacular!!! This place is a real jewel in Lafayette! I will be back if I ever go back to Louisiana!

A truly iconic eatery nestled in the heart of Freetown. Its survived some staffing alterations but still delivers when youre craving a classic Cajun plate lunch. The BBQ holds unicorn status.
