If you want real Mexican food without the added extra spice where you can taste the ingredients this is the place. Full plates with no added beans or rice as a filler. How can you tell it’s a good place? The absolute freshness of the lettuce used.

I recalled eating at El Canelo over a decade ago and loving it. I returned for lunch today and couldn’t have been more disappointed. The atmosphere is dirty, drab, and uninviting, but we still decided to give it a try – hoping for great good and drinks. I ordered a frozen pina colada, which was not frozen, although there was some blended ice in it. In terms of food, the enchilada sauce was terrible and all of the meat (beef fajitas, ground beef, and chicken) was questionable to say the least. We ended up leaving after a few bites. I was so disappointed in our experience.

Really great experience for our first time here. Server was very kind. Ever since inflation rose, I haven’t had a mexican restaurant offer more than one basket of free chips but this place did and the baskets were loaded! The main entrees were awesome, as well–the wet burrito, chile relleno, and chicken fajitas. If I find myself back in Frostburg, this restaurant will be hard to pass up.

Amazing food, service and prices. Both the Restaurant and Bar are fantastic. The bar is separated from the main restaurant by walls making it very family friendly.

Stopped in for a drink during the main street cruise. Specials were priced very low. Beer was very cold! Service was slow because we went into the bar and it took awhile for them to realize we were there. I believe everyone was in the dining area.
