Having recently turning old, I’ve lost a desire for fast food buns, corn & a few other things. My new obsession (not so new, I prefer a Patty Melt over a burger) is Texas Toast. This Grilled Cheese Breakfast Sandwich hit the spot… delicious !!! It could’ve used another minute of toasting, but when I saw that full size Texas Toast sized sausage patty … you’re lucky I had time to snap a pic. If you prefer they have one of those too!

The Western bacon burger was delicious, got the triple. Couldn’t finish it. Too much food. But I did save it. The Hot honey sauce is something different, definitely get it with the chicken nuggets.

I gave this place 2 stars because 1) I asked for hot fries ( didn’t receive them. 2) when I told the manager they weren’t hot he made more. However when he placed them in the bag he dumped them in. His apology was”oops, sorry “ . For that sir, I give you one star.

As a truck driver, I eat in a lot of restaurants, and I have never really been a big fan of Hardee’s or Carl’s Jr. But yesterday I stopped at the Carl’s Jr. in Italy, Texas at the loves truckstop, and I was absolutely amazed. The service and everything was great but the jalapeño double burger that I got was the absolute best burger I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect the lettuce, the tomatoes. None of it could’ve been any better if I would’ve made it myself. They put a decent amount of sauce on there which unlike McDonald’s who likes to give you a quarter size squirt of Mac sauce on their big Mac, and then charge you a dollar to have a decent amount put on, this was a welcomed change. Their burger was as good as any In-N-Out Burger that I’ve ever had and I absolutely love those. I definitely will be eating their burgers when I come through there. Kudos for these folks who made a sandwich that people would actually like to eat.

Went to the drive through for the third time in the last couple of months and was told to park my car and come inside to order because the drive through register isnt working. Im sorry, but the drive through register is 6 feet away from the counter register, yet they think its more appropriate for a customer to wrangle the wife, 3 kids, one being a baby, out of the car and through a large parking lot and stand in line to order… instead of them walking 6 feet to do their job. Better yet, fix the defective register since it has apparently been down for a couple months. Sorry to say, this will be the last time I will stop at a this Carl’s Jr.

Was really looking forward to coming here as there is almost none in north Texas and zero where i live. Ended being disappointed as the beef on my Western bacon cheeseburger looked old and tasted like it had been cooked more than once. At least the chicken strips were good. The small seating area could have been cleaned up also.
