We were camping at Carter Caves and wanted to try the local eateries. Hands down, The Drive in has the best burger and shoe string fries you could ask for. We tried it started the beginning of our trip and had to stop by on our way out of town. We tried the Big T burger triple, shoe string fries and took home some of their fresh donuts that were excellent. We will definitely return!

Went on a drive with the family (2 hours away) and randomly ended up at The Drive In. Hands down the best smash burgers we’ve had at any restaurant in our entire lives. We’ll definitely make the trip again really soon.

We visited The Drive In on a Tuesday afternoon while staying at Carter Caves campground. It was well worth the drive into town. Our burgers and fries were great and the whole family enjoyed our cherry Cokes. Service was fast and friendly. We’ll definitely visit here again when we return.

Hidden gem in Eastern KY! We were visiting Carter Caves and we decided to eat at The Drive In based on a friend’s recommendation. Wow! Excellent service and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back and will tell others about how wonderful it is to eat here. I had the Summer time burger and my friend had the T Bone. Very good!

Love the food but I had a bad experience. I placed my order and received my pickup time but when I got there nine minutes late I was told my food wasn’t done and it would take five minutes and she would bring it out when it’s done. It took half an hour before I received my food. If I had just placed my order I would have understood the wait but I was given a time to pick it up and I’ve ordered online several times with no issue. When I was given my food I was told to have a good day and that’s it. They didn’t offer to make it up to me or anything. If she would have told me it would take twenty minutes then I would have came back and I would have been fine. I don’t mind waiting but when I’m told five minutes and it takes thirty minutes it bothers me.

Great burgers! I especially love getting tater tots instead of French fries. A bit slower getting your food but its freshly cooked and hot. So definitely worth waiting for. No one was wearing a mask, just fyi.

We were in town for the funeral of our 101 year old, war hero, great uncle. Being 26 weeks pregnant with the son we are naming after said war hero, I was immediately looking for food after the ceremony. I googled “food near me”. There were 3 choices. After reading the description “burgers and donuts”, I immediately clicked on The Drive In. I was drooling just looking at the photos! My wonderful husband and his brother agreed, we had to check it out. Let me tell you, we will not only remember today for laying a mountain of a man to rest, but for also having the best meal of our lives.
