My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch, early dinner type meal. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the variety of options! I ended up trying a couple different things from the vegetarian menu and can’t wait to come back and try more. The jalapeño margarita was 10/10. The service was great as well!

Great place to grab some lunch. The service was very fast and the server was professional and couteous. The restaurant was very clean especially the restrooms. The food was really good and reasonably priced with large portion size. There is available parking along the street out front. It is easy to find using Google Maps.

Compadres is one of our favorite places for Mexican food. Service is always great and they are so friendly. I had the enchiladas, with rice and beans this time and it all was so good. I also got a yummy Mango Margarita. Excellent restaurant in a good location and in a very pretty building.

We always get a steak taco kids meal because it is the perfect size and we love the food here. We used to go 2-3 times a week but this most recent time we were denied to get a kids meal even there is no age limit on the menu, managers have said its okay, and it has never been a problem. The worst part is that you can order it online for take out but you can’t dine in. It truly does stink that we lost a really good Mexican restaurant to go to but it is what it is.

Mixed feelings with this restaurant. As we park our car, we noticed that it’s packed and we thought “this is a good sign!” It was packed for outdoor eating but the restaurant is very big inside and it was there that it wasn’t as busy. We were seated in a very cold area, we could have asked to be seated elsewhere we just didn’t bother. Our server was very nice and he did check on our table several times. Food wise, here’s my grades starting with the free chips and salsa. The chips were good, the salsa had good taste but just so watery. We did order a queso fundido with chorizo, it was also runny and we didn’t receive any side plates for the queso so we actually made a mess on the table trying to dip our chips. Our main dishes were tasty, but not the greatest. They were edible and that’s a good thing, but there was something missing. The Carne Asada meat seemed low quality, it was too chewy and thin, very rubbery. The Enchiladas with Mole were okay, but an hour after eating and I feel very yucky, too heavy. I had hoped for a better quality because of the reviews I read prior to actually going.

Finally a decent Mexican restaurant in WI, we are from TX and have tried few Mexican places around the Madison area that have failed miserably. After a lot of uncertainty and hesitance we decided to check out this place, however to our surprise the food was pretty decent. We loved the spicy salsa, the queso was a hard pass, however all the entrees were delicious. They do have a lot of options for vegetarians. The price was reasonable especially considering how expensive it is eat out around Madison. We will sure come back.
