Dined inside on a Sunday right at opening time. Two adults. Ordered fajitas. Service was quick and friendly but not overbearing. Restaurant appeared clean and food was good. Lighting was good. Wheelchair accessible and parking was plenty.

I ordered a large shrimp burrito and got nothing but a tortilla with a few shrimp in it covered with small amount of white cheese. There was no rice or beans in burrito no lettuce or tomato or onions absolutely nothing. I ate it in 5 bites. Cost was $10. It was good but nothing there.

Real Hacienda had been a staple of Owensboro’s long list of Mexican restaurants. Many others have come and gone over the years, but Hacienda has been around the longest. Although I may prefer some of the other restaurants’ salsa or a specific dish, I know that I can be guaranteed a good meal right here. Prices are fairly comparable to the others, but the service can’t be beat. You can be sure to be in and out quickly, too, especially at lunchtime.

The owner Armando is amazing. Down to earth and so polite and was one of the first to post up during covid and giving away free food every week same time same place for anyone struggling to eat. Great staff and always correct. Very few times they mess up our order in the whole 10 years maybe twice someone forgot the cheese or t they added peppers when I said no peppers. 2 out of 1000 trips is good numbers tho love real hac
