We tried their Smoked Beef Brisket Bahn Mi and their Roasted Duck Bahn Mi. The fillings and meats were marinated wonderfully and tasted lovely. The Bahn Mi bread was toasted a little more than my personal preference would have liked, but the sandwich was still delightful. The other classics (spring roll and pho) were also fantastic. It’s a small, busy restaurant with lovely people who still ensured fast and friendly service!

Gorgeous presentation and taste. Loved the combination of the roll with ‘bonus’ delectables on top! This is the Himalayan and it was served accordingly!

Delicious Vietnamese and Sushi place. Serving specials like Salmon tacos. We order egg rolls, beef noodles, and salmon, spicy yellow tail tacos. Every thing tasted delicious and would recommend as a quick stop to eat in Dallas.

Cute little place serving Vietnamese favorites and an abbreviated sushi offering. The food here is generally very good. I wouldn’t say anything I’ve had blows me away, but I’ve always enjoyed the flavors. Atmosphere has more of a lunch counter feel, and the small dining room tends to be crowded, which is exacerbated by traffic created from the large volume of pickup orders. Servers seem overworked, but eager to help, and work hard to get the job done as best they can. Overall, this is a great spot to grab a quick bite for lunch if you are in the area, but I wouldn’t make a special trip for it.

Chanced encounter with this small, Vietnamese cafe in Dallas. Ordered Pho ga(chicken), clay pot chicken and rock salt shrimp. We loved all of them!

LaVui, the little sister of the Oishii restaurants, is everything owner and mastermind Thanh Nguyen said it would be: the beloved sushi rolls from his original Oishii sushi restaurant, fused with Vietnamese comfort food inspired by his mother, and FAST service, appropriate for takeout or enjoyment in the small dine-in area.
