This place is pretty good usually but when they get busy it can be a long wait for drinks or food. If you go on a normal weeknight service is pretty fast. But if you go on a Friday or Saturday night don’t be in a hurry. I would highly recommend the smothered pork chops. And I am very happy they still have Lena Brewery Molly Amber beer on tap.

This is an amazing little place. The food was fantastic with fast order to table times and a wonderful waitress. Now the food, it was probably the best grilled chicken sandwich I have ever had! Not to mention the fry’s were to notch and perfectly crispy. If your in the area and looking for some delishious food at a great price, come and check it out.

Last night decided to go to The Cedar Inn for dinner. Got there after 7:15. Chatted a bit with some friends we haven’t seen for a while then sat down and ordered. At this time there were 6 empty tables. Drinks came. We talked and talked and talked. About 8:00 we were wondering why we didn’t even get our salads yet! The waitress never once said sorry we’re running a bit late, or your salads are coming soon etc. Nothing! So about 8:05 we flagged her down and said we wanted the bill because we’ve been waiting a long time and haven’t had our salads yet! She got huffy with us and said haven’t you ever seen a busy restaurant before? There were still 5 empty tables! How busy could you be to have us wait over a half hour to just get our salads??? And never once apologize for the wait! And yes my husband and I both worked in restaurants. The customers soup or salad came out within their first 10 min of ordering. And if it didn’t there was an apology for taking so long. Then our waitress even rolled her eyes at me when I said there are 5 empty tables. When she came back with our bill THEN she apologized. Probably wanted that tip that she didn’t get. And side note.. we are very good tippers because we both worked in restaurants and yes we know the staff (usually) works hard to please their customers. Will be crossing this restaurant off our list to go to in Freeport.

Oh my gosh the food was awesome! Pretzel Sticks and that cheese, wow. Homemade chicken strips, in their own batter with their own homemade ranch…it was all wonderful. Where can you find a fish fry with salmon, walleye, catfish and cod?

The burgers are the best. Only thing I ordered macaroni salad instead of fries was a very small serving. But waitress was the best & burgers are in the top 5 of burgers in the area.
