Uncle Ben was our Host/Server, he was great and made the entire experience worth while! The food was stunning. Sushi was super fresh and melt in your mouth, and given it was My girlfriends and i anniversary i decided to get the A5 Wagyu beef and it was amazing and worth every penny. Thank you again Uncle Ben! This is the best sushi restaurant in SF that I would love to recommend to all my fds. We didn’t expect the sushi because we’ve been upset by another sushi restaurant yesterday… but when the dishes served, we know this is exactly 10 of 10 sushi in the US. Their beef and the zucchini skewer are jucy, and the sushi are SUPER delicious… I love the balance of the sashimi and the vinegar rice… It tastes like the sushies we had in Japan so we ordered a second round… The most important thing is that the staffs there are “SUPER FRIENDLY”. Especially the gentleman we met at the bar SO NICE! Thanks for the sake and the ice cream my friend~ we really enjoy the time there and we’d like to come back for next visit.

We had a wonderful dinner! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The food was fantastic and prepared so delicately. I saw several posts about the wait for the Omakase but we both ordered it and were done in a little over an hour. Highly recommend this place but make reservations and get there early! They definitely filled up fast.

I will say that the menu looked amazing. Unfortunately we will never know. After going over the menu for close to 30 min, we were never checked on, when we went to order we were informed that there was no more rice. Yes, no more rice at a sushi establishment. It would have been nice if he had informed us when we first sat down that they were running low on rice, but no such communication was to be had. By they time we were informed that they couldn’t provide the most basic ingredient of their establishment, every other sushi restaurant in the neighborhood was closed. Bad service and bad communication made for a wasted evening, thanks Nakama.

Had a reservation for 8:30 then after 20-30 minutes of looking at the menu and no one coming to get our order, we were told that the sushi place ran out of rice. I wish they told us as soon as we walked in or called us before we came. Especially since we specifically made a reservation and they knew we were coming, I don’t understand why they didn’t made more rice ahead of time when they were already expecting guests. The food looks really good and we were very disappointed that we were not able to try it due to the lack of customer service and communication. Since it was so late, many places nearby was also closed and it ruined our dinner plans.
