Tried this place for lunch as the place I usually go to is now open for dinner only. I guess when it comes to sushi freshness is important. I have had great sushi before and this place didn’t deliver that freshness. The sweet shrimp was disappointing and lack of that sweet fresh taste. I think I would classify this place as a bento box or sushi rolls only place. It’s just not memorable enough to turn me into a regular patron.

The whole staff is incredibly sweet. My kids wanted plain salted onigiri and they were kind enough to give it to us close to closing. Their customer service is phenomenal and we will be back when we’re in the LA area. They are also right next door to the cutest pottery shop so you can shop off the calories when you’re done eating .

Tomi Sushi is a wonderful eatery for Japanese cuisine. My family and I went here on the night of my brother’s 18th birthday and this place was definitely the right spot to choose. The presentation of the food was exquisite and the taste was magnificent. I certainly felt authenticity in the food as well. The staff are very friendly and the service overall was top notch. If you’re looking for an outstanding restaurant, this is the place. (I recommend the mountain vegetable udon and avocado eel rolls)

I definitely got food poisoning from here. Ordered the salmon bento box. My whole next day has been ruined had to call out of work. Terrible stomach pains. The salmon smelled nasty and had tough dry texture I didn’t even eat it all I maybe had 3 bites. Really terrible. They need to increase their safety procedures in preparing food.

This was such a cute spot! Japanese owned and operated, and the sushi was good. Our favorites were the spicy yellowtail, blue crab, and Philadelphia. The spicy tuna and California roll were filling but flavor wise the other three rolls just packed more of a punch. Fish is good quality and the rolls come out fast! Service here is also great. About $50 for five rolls (incl tip)!
