I was in and out pretty quickly. My order was correct, and wayyy more food than I expected. If you eat pork, try their fried pork chops! Great southern soul food at a decent price.

The menu has a decent number of options. The food is okay. It’ll do if you’re hungry. There are flies. There are a few tables and chairs to eat at on an enclosed porch, if needed, but if it’s hot outside, you’ll sweat bullets.

The Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwhich was awesome! Hand breaded and surprisingly huge. I also had the banana pudding and mashed potato’s with gravy, and those seemed more in line with a southern mom n pop shop.

Food was great but I wish the customer service was better. I walked in and the lady at the counter said “Hi how are you?” But looked at me like I had a problem when I asked her how she was back. I don’t know if the world knows, but there are guests and customers on this earth that are genuine and do actually say “I’m good, how are you” and really care and expect an answer to that. I work in food service so I know how it feels to greet a guest and they bulldoze you with their order and don’t even recognize you as a person. Sorry I was trying to be nice. The look she gave me when I asked “How are you” in return made me regret asking. That’s sad. But the food was good I guess.

OMG…..BEST PLACE AND FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING. I HAVE LIVED IN MATOACA VA FOR OVER 30 YRS AND THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN THERE, YOU NEED TO GO. FIRST TIME I WENT EVER ABOUT THREE WEEKS AGO AND FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING AND DELICIOUS. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE ARE SO NICE AND POLITE. Ettrick Deli was surprisingly good! I even took a pic of the place on my way out of the lot for fb so my friends know to try it sometime. It’s all take out (guess that’s why the parking lot was packed w ppl eating in their cars ☺️) And no fuss or frills, just down to earth, good portions of good food. And they have catfish. I give it a 3 out of 5 bc the food is tasty, affordable, convenient, nice menu selections, & the service was friendly & fast (plus 5stars is reserved in case 1day I find a place where Heaven melts in my mouth, 1star is what I’d rate a decent fast food joint).
