About Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria
Considered the oldest family name in Chicago pizza, Lou Malnati’s is as rich in history as its pizza is in flavor.
Lou Malnati got his start in the 1940’s working in Chicago’s first deep dish pizzeria. He took his pizza expertise to Lincolnwood, a northern suburb of Chicago, where he and his wife Jean opened the first Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria on March 17, 1971. Lou was known for his fun-loving character as well as making Chicago’s best pizza. Loyal patrons lined the streets on opening day for a taste of his delicious deep dish creations. Lou always thought it was funny that an Italian should open a pizzeria in a Jewish neighborhood on an Irish holiday.

They delivered my pizza raw. Dough was completely not cooked.

The salads are pretty good but as far as Pizza goes I just don’t get it. I think it’s the worst ever bc the tomatoes taste like diced canned tomatoes that anyone could pour on anything and the cheese is just as gross…… it’s like eating a big blob of rubber. The city loves this place and I admit I’m not a Chicagoan but really I don’t get how they think this pizza is good at all.

I first had Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza in November 2020, and Prior to this time Giordano’s had been my favorite deep dish pizza. Lou Malnati’s quickly put Giordano’s into the number two slot.

Just moved to this area and was excited that we had a Lou’s 2 blocks away, then we ordered it. This has to be the worst location of any Lou’s I’ve ever patronized. First time ordering was the greatest pizza we had in a long time. 2nd time it took us 2.5 hours to get it delivered and they kept saying it was out for delivery. We got it and it was completely shifted to one side, just slid all over. 3rd and final time was this week. Massive chunks or sheets of under cooked sausage. We reached out to them and got an email back saying they would reach out to us. Glad I didn’t hold my breath cause that was two weeks ago and I guess they forgot about me already.

Unfortunately I didn’t like their pizza. Always heard it was great but certainly not the pizza I got. Pricey and disappointing. After one piece, had to throw it away.

Gluten free, crustless option is delicious! The sausage “crust” was sturdy and crispy on the bottom, then filled with cheese, fresh marinara, and my veggie toppings. A little expensive, but not a deterrent. Great staff, friendly and helpful.

Absolutely awful. I called and ordered for the 1st time and what a unpleasant surprise. I didn’t know a small is actually a personal size for 1,(silly me)and almost no sauce and cheese. NEVER AGAIN especially for the cost. Most freezer pizzas taste better

Lou Malnatis continues to pleaae at this Palos location. Their dish dish pie is always the same wherever I go, delicious! A thin and tall crispy wall surrounds the outer rim. Not a thick and doughy hip, but rather a firm and crispy lip. The sauce is always on top of the cheese which locks it down and aims to please.
