First time here. The food was amazing! Well worth the unnecessary wait they impose for seating when half the restaurant is empty. Bar drinks were good. The sushi was amazing. Didn’t have a single bad thing to eat. Price was appropriate. I’d recommend this place to the next person. But I’d say: Make a reservation!

We were looking for good sushi. We found the Westwood location on accident last year. We decided to try to power and light district location. All I can say is we made the right choice. The service provided by Brittney was unbelievable. Her knowledge of the menu and her taste in the selections was top notch. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for good sushi and great experience.

Brook was the best! We told her our price limit, then said surprise us! And she did a fantastic job. The atmosphere was amazing and it was overall a great experience. We had the Black tuna shishim (marinated in squid ink), Salmon belly nigiri, Bonita tuna, Amazon roll, & The beach roll with seared albacore with Serrano peppers.

Made reservations here on a Saturday night and was sat on time. Tried 3 rolls: The CRUNCHY L.A. (was great!), SNOW WHITE (the creamy spicy sauce in this is pretty spicy – I’d get it on the side next time) and TIDAL WAVE (got it with the honey wasabi sauce on the side – which I am glad I did because it was strong wasabi taste). Also tried the MANGO CRAB RANGOON, which were very light and dainty – they were ok, not anything great. The sauce was mango and pepper sauce which was different. To end the night we tried the Mochi – black sesame (this was the best of the 3), lychee, and hazelnut chocolate which came partially frozen – not sure if I’d get it again. The service was good overall, but pretty slow so expect to spend quite a bit of time here. Overall would return for the sushi!

Have you been to Blue Sushi downtown yet!? This has to be one of the best restaurants to visit downtown that doesn’t require you to break into the bank. With their all day happy hour Sunday, and the general happy hour menu, there’s something for everyone at an extremely inflation friendly price. If you’re someone who enjoys good service with a fantastic atmosphere, this place is for you. If you have issues, ask for Jan and she will absolutely make sure you are taken care of! If you haven’t gone yet, you’re missing out… I’ll put my local guide record on the line for this statement!
