Big portions and such a fun experience. The food was standard but everything was quite tasty. We would recommend if you’re from out of town and visiting.

The food is delicious! Amazing breakfast and huge portions. The service is excellent, very friendly, kind and fast. They get busy, but orders come out super fast. This place is always packed, and that’s a good thing. We enjoyed our delicious breakfast and would totally recommend it if you’re in Reading Terminal.

Simply the best breakfast you can get in the Reading Terminal Market and maybe in Philly. Everything was spectacular. The creamed chipped beef is the best I’ve ever had and I have been eating it for years. Home fries were cooked perfectly. Looking around the pancakes were a big favorite of folks and they looked so appetizing. Thick while fluffy. Scrapple again perfect. Crisp outside but soft inside and flavorful. The atmosphere is great sitting at the counter watching everyone stroll by. My buddy had the coffee and said it was perfect black didn’t need anything added. I’m going back next week it was that good I can’t wait to eat there again.

A fantastic little Dutch eatery in Reading Terminal, prices are a bit on the higher size for the portions in comparison to some places nearby in Chinatown, but the food is particularly very good.

It was lunchtime and was busy everywhere at the Philly’s Reading Terminal Market. The Dutch Eating Place looked very calm and relaxing eatery to try, so we were lucky enough to occupy three sits! Everything looked pretty good. Potatoes were well fried and hotdog looked tasty. I wasn’t lucky enough with my sandwich… Turkey was dry and smelled too much turkey. Overall, it was a positive experience. The waitress was very pleasant and gentle.

Amazing tasty food, come here if you are craving a hearty American breakfast. It will be difficult to decide between the dishes but whatever you choose, it will certainly be delicious. Great value for money (e.g. one pancake is the size of the whole plate!).

Great, hearty breakfast in the #RTM! I had the bacon jam sandwich, which is bacon, egg, cheese and house-made bacon jam on butter-grilled rye, side of scrapple, and sude cup of grits. The sandwich was excellent! Perfect balance of savory with a touch of sweetness. And really… You can’t go wrong with bacon. Scrapple was not over fried or too greasy. Grits had enough butter to add flavor, but again, not greasy. My wife had the veggie omelette without cheese, and it was excellent. Fresh veggies and good sized omelette.

Wow, best American style breakfast I’ve had anywhere! Great coffee too. I’m not a fan of scrapple, so next time I’ll get something else with my eggs. This place is really busy, but the people working there are amazing and manage to take great care of everyone. I’m not a big lover of pancakes, but the huge blueberry pancake that came with the breakfast special is just incredibly fluffy and delicious. The prices are pretty reasonable, I’d say it was a bargain.

Be prepared. Look at other people’s plates! The portions are HUGE. The food though is AMAZING. Those home fries. Wow just wow. Also the pancakes. I am bummed that I only got to experience it once but if I ever go back this is where I will eat every day!
