At our Bonham, TX location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

So the food was ok, what you expect from Captain D’S. Battered fish, fries were old but I didn’t really want them. However the staff was great. The young girl at the counter was very friendly and helpful, this location is well managed and makes you feel welcomed.

Ugh. My 2 piece was ready in less than 3 minutes. Cold fries, and the fish was mushy and mealy. The hush puppies, and premade cole slaw, was amazing, and the cashier was sweet and kind.

What an amazing place!! The food was hot and fresh. Service was top notched and perfect. We tried the key lime pie and funnel cake sticks and the cheese cake. All of them were so good. All around this is a great place to bring your family to. We will go back for sure!!

Not good compared to how I remember it being in Alabama years ago. I was disappointed with the shrimp size and being overcooked, also disappointed in the taste and batter of the fish and not too fond of the tarter sauce. Also the green bean juice spilled out into my fried food.

Great place to eat in Bonham. Very good food, portions were plenty, a lot to choose from on the menu. They noticed l walk with a cane and brought our meal out to our table. Friendly servers and counter people. We will be back. Probably 2 or 3 times a month.

Had cajun catfish and shrimp ! Fish taste like old fish , the batter is under cooked , the hush puppies were undercook , the broccoli was tasteless ! The shrimp were ok , there was more batter than there was fish even if they got it right. There is no love in this food or its preparation .

You would have gotten five stars all the way around, however it was freezing in the restaurant, while it was rainy and chilly outside. Also, out of tarter sauce? Really? A fish place out of tarter sauce? Huge ordering fail! The food was still good but a fish place really should never run out of tarter sauce…just saying.

This place advertises that it closes at 11pm on Saturdays. Yet my husband got there at 7:55 pm and they were closing at 8:00pm. He should have never ordered. The food was cold they were out of everything no Mac and cheese, no fries, no potato’s, There fried okra was undercooked and soggy. They extra hush puppies since they were out of all there sides. Yuck their hush puppies are like eating greasy bread that has been sitting there all day. The fish was not right my stomach started turning as soon as I started eating this food. Never again!!!
