A friend and I went there for lunch. I’m new to the area so I wanted to check out some local cuisine. From the outside it doesn’t look like much. When you walk inside you’re greeted by friendly waitress. The dining room was very nice. It’s a family-owned business and the father and daughter we’re working at the time. The father came out with our food, takeout, and he made sure we had everything we needed. The food was very very good and prices were reasonable. The bill came to $20 for two people with meal and extra side. I had the salad topped with grilled chicken. It was bursting with flavor. I was very surprised to taste that there was bacon in there. Coleslaw was absolutely delicious. It’s the sweet version. He says it was homemade. I would definitely recommend trying at least once.

I’ve ate here twice since this place opened & it is delicious! The prices are very affordable. The last time I went in, I forgot that their debit machine doesn’t take my debit card for some reason. The owner told me not to worry about the money, the food was on the house. I was shocked for someone to be nice like that this day and age. I thanked him but explained that it wouldn’t be a problem for me to go grab the money out of the atm. So I went and got the money & gave extra for a tip. That’s the type of people you want to keep in business. So let’s not forget about them & let us keep this place in business for years to come. Thank you to the kind gentleman. You definitely touched my soul, and for that, I will forever be grateful.

Ordered Double & Single Cheeseburger Plates.. Also hotdog plate for my 4 year old son. Burgers were burnt and dried out! Home fries were full of grease and dry looking!! We turned down a restaurant in Anderson to come here for the first time. Highly disappointed.

Don’t ever go to ’the diner’ in ware shoals! When you make a statement of something the is wrong…. They want to argue with you. And when you are stern with them and tell them to drop it and that enough is enough…. They want to start yelling and arguing and telling you to leave the restaurant. I haven’t been this mad in a while and I’m still livid about it. Took forever to get the food… my mother in law and my kids got theirs before my grandmother and I did. Not organized at all!!

I don’t know whose grandmother they got back there cooking. She put her foot in that gravy for the cube steak!!!! That pork chop sandwich was everything I needed. This place is a must to eat at.

I usually get takeout and noticed that there is no silverware with the meal, when I brought it to their attention I was told you have to ask for it, so when you asked for silverware they said they don’t have any silverware.

Good food and service the only problem is they are stingy with the cloe slaw you only get about a tablespoon full then charge you 50 cents for another tablespoon but it’s good slaw.
