Another bbq joint we decided to try. Nice little place on the side on the main drag through town. The restaurant was clean. The employees were very friendly. The food was really good. My only complaint is that it seemed a little pricey for what you get. The desert is almost worth coming here on their own merrit, a 40 minute drive for us.

Very refreshing to find a place that doesn’t try to sell you on ‘low and slow’, but has an Ol Hickory cooker in the back. From the first bite, this is the real deal. When I’m trying a new bbq place, I always get the same thing – brisket, pork, beans, and coleslaw. If a place can’t make this right, well, everything else is going to suck. Both point and flat section of the brisket was really moist and not over-smoked. The pork had it’s own flavor – as it should – and was moist as well. The beans may have started out in a can, but that’s not how they ended up! They were awesome. Loaded with flavor and clearly had brisket drippings added in. So good! If they didn’t make the coleslaw from scratch, it was damn close to scratch made. It was really good. Their sauces are a standout as well. Will definitely be returning on my next trip through the region. Well worth getting off the highway and finding this place.

Great spot for some great BBQ!!! Discovered this spot by chance while in Fremont, on my way home (suburban Chicago) from Akron. I had a taste for a good burger, and beer, and saw this place on Google Maps. I was two blocks away, and BBQ sounded really great! Had the Brisket Sub, with baked beans, and a bottle of Miller Lite. I will definitely return, next time I am in Ohio.

Incredible! Driving thru town, took a chance on Jimmy G’s and hit the jackpot! Pesto with brisket was scrumptious, and the meat was thick, flavorful, & so tender. Fast & pleasant service. Decor in the seating area was just plain cute! If in Ohio, stop in!

Happened across this BBQ place not far off the toll road while headed to Kelley’s Island because fast food sounded bleh, and now we’re already thinking we would make the drive (1.75 hrs) just to eat here again. The food is amazing! So smoky. The burnt ends are divine. The beans were the best ever, and I’m not even a beans person. Kid portions were excellent value. Loved the chips; so unique and very craveable. We spent the same amount as when we go to Burger King but got SO much more value. Can’t recommend this place enough! Service 10/10, clean, lunch folks here helpful and friendly. We were wowed! Great job, Jimmy G’s!!

The wife and I had the B3 gourmet brisket burger. She had two pieces of cartilage that was about the size of her Pinky in hers. Burger itself was pretty good however the bun was something to be desired. The bottom part of the bun was so thin that it was very difficult to eat without getting stuff all over.

If your looking for good BBQ and your in the Fremont area this is the place to be. The ribs are excellent but the brisket needs a little something

It was super delicious! I recommend coming here. Lots of choices and there smoked meats are fantastic! I got the three meat combo. Got the ribs brisket and pulled pork. all of there home made sauces are great. My favorite combo of meat and sauce was pulled pork and Texas original. I also got the burnt ends witch was also really good the only negative I have to say is that the Mac and cheese was a bit mushy other then that great atmosphere and seemed really clean it wasn’t to be pricey ether I will be coming back for more!

I was a little bummed this time because I couldn’t get my usual order but it forced me out of my comfort zone and as usual I was not disappointed. They have a salmon sandwich that is out of this world. I had the prime rib sandwich this time and that was pretty fantastic as well. Anytime I come up from Columbus to visit my parents, I always make it a point to come here for dinner and get the salmon sandwich.
