I went in the morning during my break, the guy making the juice took a long time to give me 2 juices(12 min), I purchase a vegan chicken salad, when I came back and eat the salad there was a bug in my food half way done, looks like a little roach, just be aware of this place hygiene might not be the best. They did refund me my money for the salad.

My wife and I stopped by on a whim since we’re staying in the neighborhood for a night after getting off the Pacific Crest Trail, and couldn’t find a grocery store nearby. We left with tasty things to eat and a really nice conversation with the owner. Big comfy space with tables and chairs, friendly staff, and high quality products – great combo. Thank you!

I’ve been coming to this health food store and eatery since it opened in town (2012 or so?), so it’s definitely a recommendation from me. The employees are always quite kind and helpful, and the lunch menu, though spare, is always fresh and tasty. Sometimes the religious music isn’t quite to my taste, but I believe the average clientele in Bakersfield is positively inclined toward “Christian radio” kinds of upbeat pop-worship, so it’s … fine. I still haven’t tried their hot lunch menu and still really need to do that.
