Wanted something different for lunch, something home-cooked.. Found this place and its a hole in the wall home-cooked / soulfood/ southern style. The ladies are definitely like grannies. Super nice and sweet when I went. It is is the less nicer part of town but no issues just mind yo business get in and out. Lol. And its pick up only no tables.

I’ve visited Grannie’s Kitchen several times and have never been disappointed. I love supporting small businesses, especially when you get to meet and speak with the owner’s. The food is always delicious and fresh. Today I got oxtails, w/rice, black-eyed peas, greens (and not can greens) and corn bread, all made just like my granny use to make and it wasn’t over priced, that part. I’m excited they will be open 2 Sundays a month which is perfect for me. The photo is what’s left after eating a serving as you see, definitely enough food for two meals. Thank you Ms. Dorothy for this deliciousness!!!

Man this place needs more then 5 stars, was recommended to try here and I’m thankful I did. The food was absolutely amazing and I am from Arizona so to have authentic soul food for the first time, I would definitely choose this place.
