STEVE’S STORY
In 1978, Steve Wilkinson was approached by a close friend and enticed to open a pizza parlor in downtown Davis, California. At the time, Davis was a sleepy, rural town adjacent to the University of California, a growing agricultural and medical research campus. Word quickly spread through the community regarding the quality of his menu and the “friendly guy with the large mustache” who worked day and night to make his new venture successful. Thus was born, Steve’s Pizza.
The Steve’s story continues to evolve. It has been in operation since its founding in 1978 and continues to produce loyal customers simply because their expectations have always been met or exceeded. Today there are six locations in the Greater Sacramento Area

I pulled off I-80 due to an overturned truck blocking all lanes. I needed lunch and a shady place to park. I walked into the first non-fast food restaurant, and I’m glad I did! Great pizza, and I loved the salad bar! Staff was attentive and tables were clean. Win-win!!

we went around lunch time over the weekend and the place was pretty empty. ordered a small pepperoni pizza with some wings (they gave us 1 extra!) and ranch. they seemed a bit short-staffed but the people working were nice and the food was good. free wi-fi is always a plus. I’d come here again 🙂

I’ve been going to Steve’s for 5+ years & sadly the quality has dramatically decreased in the last 3. Not even going to go into the bad customer service I’ve experienced in that time, and just focus on the miserable meal I was served last night.

The pizza was absolutely amazing! There was only one woman cooking and bringing the pizzas, but we never waited more than fifteen minutes and she was just an absolute delight. I’m not sure what her name was, but she’s doing a great job! The store was clean and there was basketball on every television. The soda here is really great as well.

We ordered a large double Pepperoni pizza and a Chicken & Broccoli Fetticini Alfredo. They both were amazing and fresh! Absolutely no complaints, thanks for the delicious take-out supper last night!!! We will definitely be back!!
