About a year ago I tried China king and wasn’t impressed, but this year I wanted to give them another shot and I’m not sure what all changed but food was delicious! If you haven’t eaten here recently, give them a shot and it’s on grubhub for delivery what more needs to be said! My family and I will be going back in the near future

We were disappointed in this location. We for General Tsao ‘s with rice and crab Rangoons. The sauce tasted more like catsup and was not spicy at all. The rice was very dark and a bit mushy. The crab Rangoons tasted ok, but the outside wasn’t puffed up like we are used to, and the dipping sauce seemed way too sweet. Overall a big disappointment. We’ve been spoiled by the Republic Road location.

I don’t usually write reviews and never have written a bad one, but my gosh! First I was looking at the menu online and somehow it switched on me from China King in Republic to China King ON Republic Rd. Didnt realize this, called and placed order for a Happy Family, which is a mix of lobster, jumbo shrimp, chicken, pork and beef with vegetables and a brown sauce. The guy that answered the phone could not speak or understand English at all! I could hardly understand him and we had to repeat back and forth several times what each other was saying. Why he did not tell me they do not make Happy Family, like the China Kings in Springfield do, is beyond me! Got home and there was very little seafood in my dinner. I managed to find 4, maybe 5 pieces of shrimp all on one side of the dinner. None on the side I took out to eat that night. No lobster or any other seafood, just chicken and pork. I see no use in paying extra for seafood and only getting 4 or 5 very small pieces of shrimp. I won’t be going back. This is why we eat at home.

My children and I ate at China King for lunch today around 1:30 pm. It wasn’t busy at all. The kids both ordered sweet and sour lunch specials (one spicy, one not) and I had their curry chicken lunch special. Cost was a bit more than lunch specials at other restaurants, but we were impressed with the quantity and quality. The egg drop soup was delicious and not something you usually get with a lunch special; also here you get an eggroll AND crab rangoon- usually it is one or the other at other restaurants (those sides alone made up the $1- $1.50 difference per meal in our opinions). We did have take-home left overs and the staff seemed quite friendly. Overall a very nice experience. Thank you!

The last few times we ordered Singapore rice noodles, the taste went downhill and more downhill every time. Did they change the ownership? I’ve been going to same Chinese place for last 8 years. Today we picked up two Singapore and there were way too much curry seasonings on them and little meat & veggies and way too much rice noodles. Plus they were so salty that we couldn’t eat them all. We are kind of disappointed. Next time we order, we will tell them not to add any curry seasoning at all, they never added curry or maybe little curry every time we ordered. ♀️
