Our first visit, l had the engineer breakfast, my wife had the pancakes platter with 2 coffee. Wasn’t as crowded, which was nice. Kinda of a wait on coffee refills, the food was warm not hot. The food was decent, the prices were a little higher! Be ready for all the construction there.

Old school diner meets contemporary ambiance. The menu had a lot of things to choose from that sounded amazing. The food we got was great. Service was great despite seeming busy. Always had a cup full and left with our bellies full. Was a great spot. Would definitely recommend.

Very nice place to go for breakfast. I had the Lobster fix omelet, noticeable amount of Lobster but too much onions. I had a side of parmesan grits that was served like a potato pancake, not in a bowl. Very tasty and unique way to serve grits. Overall a 4 star diner meal, would have been 5 stars if it wasn’t for the abundance of onions in my Lobster omelet.

I enjoyed my visit here, the service was nice and the atmosphere is really cool. I love the variety of novelty salt shakers and all the local stickers in the cook area. It’s a tad tight in the main dining area. If you’re a little fluffy like me, you may want to sit in the section to the right as you walk in. I ordered the meat lover skillet, and to be honest, it was just ok. I started to give 3 stars, but the service was quick and friendly. Also, they did prepare my eggs PERFECTLY which hardly ever happens. The parking can be a challenge. Look for the free public parking sign on the street to the right of the restaurant.

Always a pleasure at my favorite brunch spot near Ferndale/Royal Oak. Their coffee is amazing, the food is always fresh, the servers are kind, what more could you ask for? Oh, free parking, too. They have sourdough bread and an extensive menu that for whatever you’re craving. I love Whistle Stop!!!
