Since 2009, we’ve been serving-up seriously yummy eats, with our crave-able burgers and shareable sides earning Umami Burger a place among Los Angeles’ best restaurant lists and topping the nation’s best burger lists. We’ve since Umami-fied San Francisco, Chicago, and New York, expanding from our flagship L.A. restaurant. In early 2017, we opened our first international location, bringing yummy to the home of umami itself, Japan.

First, I ordered the umami burger with no pickle, but it came with pickles. I ordered a regular fries and sweet potato fries, but both turned out regular fries (sweet potato fries were also more expensive). I add additional truffle ketchup sauce which costs $0.75, but it came in with a bunch of regular heinz ketchup.

We ordered on doordash last night and came to Google maps to see if we should come in person. The 2 star rating is such a lie this place has AMAZING burgers. I ordered the truffle burger with bacon and it was fantastic. The sauce was perfect, the meat was cooked to a T, and the bun was the ideal like brioche soft and sweet. My friend got the traditional minus the cheese cause lactose messes with her and she had the exact same reaction. We also ordered cake, and I loved it. I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed the food. Don’t trust the naysayers this place rocks!

Well what a huge disappointment. I ordered a Red Bull the truffle Burger with extra Patty and bacon the truffle fries and three chicken tender side. The burger came two patties plain bun no sauce. The fries are cold and soggy the sauce on top has coagulated like the top of gravy when it sits too long. My chicken tenders are so burnt it is not even edible. If I could I would give them a zero-star but at least they got the Red Bull right so I guess that’s one star’ish. And the 800 number on Google is garbage to contact the store.

To clarify some confusion, this is run out of a food truck in a parking lot. The food was delicious, they were timely, and the order was accurate. We wouldn’t recommend the mac & cheese (too bland), but everything else was great (impossible burger, fried chicken sammy, and fries)!

Couldn’t tell you how the food tasted because the QR code doesn’t bring you directly the website to order from (online order only), if you’re not going to do in person orders then making sure your provided method works is critical. Could have searched directly for the website but was off put by the bad location and other negative reviews so just decided it was a sign and moved on
