Took the family here and had the dynamite and cheese sticks for starters. I appreciate having a spicy app option.

We celebrated our baby’s baptism party in Mahal’s Kitchen last Easter Sunday. We are so happy that we did! Our guests are so pleased and happy with the food and the service. we did the lunch buffet and they refill everything in a timely manner. The owners are so gracious and they always check on everyone to make sure that they have everything they need. They accommodate my DIY decor and are very supportive during the preparation.lastly, they have a stage and a Karaoke which is awesome! for those looking for venue for their parties or events, i highly recommend Mahal’s Kitchen.

Mahal’s Kitchen Filipino restaurant experience was a gem. Family owned and operated this up and coming eatery is a feel good spot. First thing I personally noticed was the cleanliness of the atmosphere. Second thing was all the food was very organized & in it’s place. We went on buffet day. Walking through about 8 or 9 different varieties of Filipino dishes that all Filipinos know & love was great.

I enjoy checking out new Filipino restaurants and decided to give this place a try. The food, service, and hospitality were all excellent. The waitress was very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. I basically felt like a guest in someone else’s home. I had the quail egg and afritada this time. I look forward to trying out their other dishes including their weekend buffet!

Im a Filipina from San Marcos Tx and I checked this place out for the first time yesterday (Saturday) at 12 noon. It was a buffet style for 16.99 for adults plus 1.00 for water. The food was hot, fresh and delicious. I particularly like the menudo, fish escabeche, dried squid and dangit, jefrox and of course the desserts. So definitely will be coming back. I used to go to My chokdee but they do not have the buffet anymore. I get their Turo Turo style. But now if I am craving for a buffet then I have a place to go closer to the filipinos that lives in North part of SA like New Braunfels, Austin etc.

If you’re looking for authentic Philippine Cuisine this might be the place. If you’re looking for good, fresh, authentic Philippine Cuisine then this might not be the place. By far this was the worst experience we’ve ever had with Philippine Cuisine and we’re fans of Philippine food. The buffet was mostly empty with food appearing to have been there all day. We did attempt to enjoy ourselves but it was difficult with the good not being fresh. The atmosphere is more like a tossed together idea of a restaurant than a well thought out cared for establishment. The waitress wasn’t sure of herself and I’m sure was inexperienced. We’ll most likely not return.

We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. The ambience is very nice and the restaurant is very neat and clean, we enjoyed every bite of their appetizer sampler and their special halo-halo! Love this place and will recommend this to our friends and family here!
