5 BarBQ is a barbecue outpost in Stoneburg TX, (just 8 min north of Bowie TX on US 81 & Crabtree St.)
Serving all wood, slow smoked meats – smoked with our custom oak/pecan/cherry blend – Certified Hereford Beef (CHB) brisket, St Louis trim pork ribs, peppered pork belly ( we call it Texas Pepper Belly), pulled pork, locally crafted German style sausage, an all Beef jalapeño cheddar sausage (made exclusively for 5 BarBQ) and more.
Everything is smoked in house using our original 5 Pepper rub served along with specifically crafted sides, sauces, cornbread muffins and sweet cakes offered for dessert. Meats, sauces, sides, muffins and cakes are ALL Gluten Free.

My husband and I stopped by here for dinner & it was amazing! Some of the best BBQ we’ve had! The brisket & potato salad was delicious. We also had a sample of the burnt ends which were outstanding! The couple that owns it is so sweet and even gave us some gluten free dessert that tastes way too good to be gluten free . We will definitely be back!

Great BBQ! Hungry Texan gives you a lot of choices and all was delicious. Customized to your taste in how lean you want the amazing brisket. Great couple runs this. It’s so good I rode my motorcycle 160 miles here for lunch! This may be the best bbq on the planet!

The food was amazing! The ribs and brisket were awesome. Both options for sausage were also very good. The service was great but my favorite was the corn bread- so fluffy! Will definitely come back if we are in the area.

Neat and clean! Super nice people!Tried ribs, brisket, German sausage, potatoe salad, coleslaw. Ribs had odd tasting rub not good, brisket tender no flavor, mayo potatoe salad just mayo flavor, coleslaw dry and no flavor, German sausage was served cold. Barbecue sauce was good!

For our son’s birthday, we were looking for a real cowboy style BBQ restaurant and found the best one! As a French family, you might imagine how picky we can be about food and cooking… 🙂 This was our best meat-BBQ experience in the US so far. All meats were delicious and melting, all dishes exquisite, all baked and prepared with care and love by both wonderful owners. We were blessed to meet them and will come back to enjoy their food, company and pilot stories about WW2. They even offered our son for his birthday some excellent home-made gluten-free cakes and one rare American coin. We will come back for sure and bring friends and family!!! Happy New Year!
